Document management system as a tool for digitising local governments in Latvia.

Authors: Pureniņa, Inga;

Document management system as a tool for digitising local governments in Latvia.

Abstract

The goal of the master’s thesis “Document management system as a tool for digitising local governments in Latvia” is to investigate the factors that contribute to the complete use of document management systems and digitising document management processes in the context of local governments. Chapter one analyses the regulations governing the document management process in Latvia, the spread of digitisation and the prior research into digitisation processes. Chapter two reviews the current situation with the use of document management systems by local governments in Latvia. Chapter three is an analysis of the data obtained as part of the research, including the results of a survey conducted by the author; the chapter also provides a roadmap for enhancing the use of document management systems. The final part of the thesis offers conclusions and recommendations. This thesis comprises 81 pages, 13 figures, and 3 tables.

Darbs sastāv no 81 lapām, 13 attēliem, 3 tabulām.
