Abstract

La necesidad de conocer el estado hídrico del suelo y su evolución para un aprovechamiento eficaz del agua por parte de los agricultores es cada vez mayor. Los agricultores deben tener la posibilidad de monitorear los riegos y conocer las lluvias con precisión para mejorar la eficacia de aplicación de riegos. En zonas con climas áridos o semiáridos como es el caso de este trabajo, el riego es una variable fundamental para la correcta producción de cultivos. Para un buen control de éste es necesario saber el estado hídrico del suelo, concretamente su capacidad de campo, en otras palabras, su retención de agua útil capaz de ser absorbida por el cultivo. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo la exploración y evaluación espacial de la cuenca mediterránea andaluza. Para ello se hace uso de diferentes técnicas y metodologías dentro del ámbito de la teledetección, sistemas de información geográfica, la cartografía y la edafología las cuales se van desarrollando y explicando a lo largo del documento. Los resultados obtenidos muestran como las plataformas de imágenes satélite y la teledetección son herramientas convenientes para la evaluación y exploración espacial de grandes superficies. En el caso de este trabajo, las imágenes Sentinel-2 son adecuadas para obtener un buen resultado y alcanzar muchos de los objetivos que se puedan plantear en un futuro.
