    The objective of this thesis is to focus on the foreign market entry modes and the factors affecting the choice of a certain entry mode/strategy. Indian agricultural market as an industry and a market is also discussed alongside with Indian business customs as well as cultural issues. The goal of the thesis is to come up with recommendations for the company on which market entry mode strategy to choose that would suit the company’s purposes. Based on the research results, the best market entry mode option for the company is a brownfield investment. These modes are classified in group of hierarchical entry modes. Darba mērķis ir vērst uzmanību uz ārzemju tirgus ienākšanas veidiem un faktoriem, kas ietekmē konkrēto ienākšanas veidu/stratēģiju izvēli. Indijas lauksaimniecības tirgus kā nozare un tirgus tiek aplūkots kopā ar Indijas uzņēmējdarbības tradīcijām, kā arī kultūras jautājumiem. Darba mērķis ir ieteikt uzņēmumam piemērotu tirgus pieejas stratēģiju, kas atbilstu uzņēmuma mērķiem Pamatojoties uz pētījuma rezultātiem, labākais tirgus ienākšanas veida variants uzņēmumam ir investīcijas apvidū. Šie tirgus ienākšanas veidi tika klasificēti hierarhiskā tirgus ienākšanas veidu grupā.

    Digitalizācija ir izveidojusi ievērojami svarīgas pārmaiņas, kas Eiropas Savienībai un tās dalībvalstīm ir jāpieņem. Itālija tās digitālo procesu un prasmju vērtējumā ir zemāk par jebkuru citu ES dalībvalsti, tieši tāpēc šī situācija ir jāmaina un strauji jāuzlabo. Šī maģistra darba galvenais izvirzītais mērķis ir noteikt digitālizācijas svarīguma un ietekmes lomu Eiropā un Itālijā, lai atrastu iemeslus, kāpēc Itālija pēc šī kritērija ir viszemāk, salīdzinot ar pārējām ES dalībvalstīm, kā arī lai izdomātu un piedāvātu uzlabojumus Itālijas respondentu digitālajām prasmēm. Šī pētījuma rezultāts parāda, cik ES ir nepieciešami un svarīgi būt ne tikai digitālai, bet tikpat svarīga ir arī tās vēlme būt tādai. Lai Itālija, kuru DESI novērtēja ļoti zemu, varētu pilnveidoties digitālajā sfērā, ir nepieciešama papildus komunikācija un resursi. Jāmin arī, ka itāliešu respondentu digitālās prasmes ir ļoti zemas, neskatoties uz faktu, ka viņi zin, cik svarīgas ir šīs prasmes un to pielietošana. Digitalisation is an important change that EU and its MSs need to face. Italy is behind respect other states in digital processes and skills. Nevertheless, improvements must be done in Italy. The aim of this master thesis is to is to determine the importance digitalization in Europe and Italy, to find reasons why Italy is behind compared to other MSs, to provide suggestions for improvements to make an assessment of Italian respondents’ digital skills. The outcome of the research shows the necessity for EU to be digital as well as its will to be digital. Furthermore, Italy, which ranked very low by DESI could improve digitally with more communication and resources. Finally, digital skills of Italians’ respondents are low, even though they know digital skills’ importance.

    In this master's thesis, the challenge tackled is the identification of vegetation (fallow field or winter crop or cover crop) in agricultural lands using multispectral satellite data. The objective of the thesis is to collate established research methodologies, develop and evaluate a classification algorithm, test different features, and assess the algorithm's spatial and temporal transferibality. Two classification models were developed, a random forest and a multilayer neural network, and trained on data in Estonia from 2019 to 2021. Both models yielded comparable accuracy rates: 84 % for the random forest and 83 % for the neural network. The neural network was superior on the 2022 data and in a different region. The inclusion of 0.1 and 0.9 quantiles of each index per field to the features improved the accuracy of both models. Maģistra darbā tiek aplūkota veģetācijas (neapsēts lauks vai ziemāji vai starpkultūra) noteikšana lauksaimniecības zemēs, izmantojot multispektrālos satelītdatus. Darba mērķis ir apkopot līdzšinējo pētījumu pieejas un, izmēģinot dažādas ieejas datu kombinācijas, izveidot un novērtēt klasifikācijas algoritmu, kā arī izpētīt šī algoritma precizitāti citā laikā un reģionā. Tika izveidoti divi klasifikācijas modeļi: gadījuma mežs un daudzslāņu neironu tīkls, kas tika apmācīti uz Igaunijas datiem no 2019. līdz 2021. gadam. Abiem modeļiem bij līdzīgīga precizitāte: 84 % gadījuma mežam un 83 % neironu tīklam, taču neironu tīkls bija pārāks uz 2022. gada datiem un citā reģionā. Abiem modeļiem precizitāti paaugstināja 0.1 un 0.9 kvantiļu katram indeksam katram laukam pievienošana ieejas datiem.
