Pet owners use a variety of tools and methods to monitor their animals' health. One of the most commonly used methods to track animal health is to observe animal activity level. A decrease in animal's activity level is the first and most obvious symptom in most animal diseases. In this study, an IoT system is developed to automatically recognize and track the activities of domestic animals. The system includes a sensor node attached to the pet's collar, a mobile application that transfers the data collected by this sensor node to the cloud architecture, and a software and user interface that automatically classifies and visualizes data in the cloud architecture. With the obtained data, the pet's activities within a day were determined by showing different classes of action (sitting, walking, running). Dogs were used as subjects in the study. © 2018 IEEE.

    Wetlands, which are formed as a result of centuries-old natural processes, which are among the priority ecosystems of the Earth in terms of biodiversity and which provide various ecosystem functions and services, also stand out as important components of a green infrastructure (GI) system. The aim of this study is to define the role of Dönemeç Delta within the existing and potential GI system of the city of Van and its immediate surroundings and to examine it within the framework of GI concept and related planning and protection tools. In this context; 1) the land use-land cover of the landscape in which Delta is located were evaluated in the context of core-area-corridor components of GI, 2) the current situation was assessed by the Driving Force-Pressure-Status-Impact-Response (DPSIR) and the land use/land cover (LU/LC) change analyses and 3) related spatial plans and Dönemeç Delta Management Plan were examined. The results show that the Dönemeç Delta is undertaking the core area function in the existing GI system of the city and its surroundings, but facing pressures and problems such as irregularities in the water regime, land developments, environmental pollution and degradation/damage of habitats. Therefore, continuity of the ecosystem functions and services, especially those regulating (e.g.water and climate) and supporting (habitat for wildlife), provided by the Delta are at risk. One of the primary solutions in this context is to make spatial planning decisions that will ensure the connectivity and continuity of the GI components of the surrounding rural and urban areas with the Delta.In this process, Dönemeç Delta and other wetlands in the vicinity of the city of Van should be considered as core areas; other natural and man-made green areas might be considered as core, site or corridor according to their characteristics. It was concluded that Environmental Order Plans scaled to 1/25000 are critical in the spatial planning process to establish GI systems., and thatthe planning codes and guidelines should also be prepared to ensure the continuity of GI systems in Master Plans scaled to 1/5000 and 1/1000. Yüzyıllık doğal süreçler sonucu oluşmuş, biyoçeşitlilik bakımından yeryüzünün öncelikli ekosistemlerinden olan ve birçok ekosistem işlevleri ve yararları sağlayan sulak alanlar, yeşil altyapı (YA) sisteminin de önemli bileşenleri olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Dönemeç Deltası’nın, Van Kenti ve yakın çevresindeki mevcut ve planlanması olası YA sistemi içindeki rolünün tanımlanarak, ilgili planlama ve koruma araçları kapsamında YA konsepti çerçevesinde irdelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda; 1) Delta’nın yer aldığı peyzajın arazi kullanım-arazi örtüsü, çekirdek-alan-koridor bileşenleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş, 2) İtici Güç-Baskı-Durum-Etki-Tepki (DPSIR) analizi ve 28 yıl içindeki arazi kullanım/arazi örtüsü (AÖAK) değişim analizi ile mevcut durumu değerlendirilmiş ve 3) ilgili mekansal ve eylem planları incelenmiştir. Bulgular, Dönemeç Deltası’nın, Kent ve çevresindeki mevcut YA sisteminde çekirdek alan işlevlerini üstlendiğini, ancak temel olarak su rejimindeki düzensizlikler, yapılaşma, çevre kirliliği ve habitatların parçalanması/zarar görmesi gibi baskılar ve sorunlarla karşı karşıya olduğunu göstermiştir. Buna göre Delta’nın sağladığı, özellikle düzenleyici (örn: su ve iklim) ve destekleyici (yaban hayatı için habitat sağlama) ekosistem işlev ve yararların devamlılığı risk altındadır. Öncelikli çözümlerden biri, Delta ile çevresindeki kırsal alanda ve kentsel doku içinde yer alan YA bileşenlerinin bağlantılılığını ve sürekliliğini sağlayacak mekânsal planlama kararlarının verilmesidir. Bu süreçte, Dönemeç Deltası ve Van Kenti yakın çevresindeki diğer sulak alanlar, çekirdek alan olarak değerlendirilmelidir. Çalışma alanı örneğinde olduğu gibi, kentsel alanlarda kent çeperlerini de kapsayan YA sistemlerinin kurulmasında 1/25000 ölçekli çevre düzeni planları kritik önem taşırken, sistemin 1/5000 ölçekli nazım imar planlarında ve 1/1000 ölçekli uygulama imar planlarında devamlılığını sağlayacak planlama kodlarının ve rehberlerinin hazırlanması gerekmektedir.

    With the vision of the internet of things (IoT), it is expected that wireless networks will grow, concentrate and traffic carried will increase in the future. In wireless networks, multi-hop communication can be used instead of single-hop communication that we are accustomed today. Multi-hop communication is known to provide enhanced goodput performance for large and dense wireless networks under moderate traffic load. Nevertheless, the major problem is the goodput collapse experienced under high traffic load due to packet losses. One of the reasons of this problem in multi-hop communication is the emergence of a hidden terminal problem that we are not encountering in single-hop communication. In this study, two methods, prioritizing frames and varying contention window size according to the Residual Hop Count (RHC), are proposed and goodput performance is investigated through simulations. As a result of the studies, the goodput performance has been increased significantly under high traffic load. Nesnelerin interneti (IoT) vizyonu ile gelecekte kablosuz ağların büyümesi, yoğunlaşması ve taşınan trafiğin artması beklenmektedir. Kablosuz ağlarda bugün alışkın olduğumuz tek sekmeli haberleşme yerine çok-sekmeli haberleşme de kullanılabilir. Çok-sekmeli haberleşmenin, büyük ve yoğun kablosuz ağlar için ortalama trafik yükü altında daha iyi ulaştırılan iş performansı sağladığı gösterilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, ağır trafik yükleri altında paket düşüşünün artması ile ulaştırılan iş çöküşünün yaşanması en büyük sorundur. Bu sorunun nedenlerinden biri, çok-sekmeli haberleşmede tek-sekmeli haberleşmeye kıyasla karşılaştığımız gizli terminal sorunudur. Bu çalışmada, Kalan Sekme Sayılarına (KSS) göre paketlere öncelik verilmesi ve değişen kapışma penceresi büyüklüğüne ilişkin iki yöntem önerilmiş ve ulaştırılan iş performansı araştırılmıştır.     In the rapidly digitalizing world with the effect of technological developments, new mass media has started to emerge. This mass media has created new concepts and new approaches. Especially recently, the media, which has evolved from traditional to digital, has been replaced by the concept of "New Media". It is known that the audience has a more active role in new media and this is achieved through digital media. Documentary genre is one of the areas undergoing transformation in the digitalized order. In the productions representing this genre, it is seen that the audience can make an interactive choice with the effect of the renewed media. The fact that Netflix, a digital media channel, presents movies and series of various genres to the audience in an interactive structure supports this inference. In this context, it is observed that the interactive documentary program called “You vs. Wild” discussed in the study is among the remarkable productions of Netflix. In this program, presented by Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls, the presenter aims to reach the determined goal with the guidance of the audience. In this study, it is aimed to examine the interactive documentary genre in the example of You vs. Wild program, based on the development of new media. The study, which was analyzed with the qualitative research method, was handled within the framework of phenomenology design. In this program, which created the impression that the audience guides the presenter, it was concluded that the adventure and limits were determined by the production team. Teknolojik gelişmelerin etkisiyle hızla dijitalleşen dünyada, yeni iletişim araçları ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Bu iletişim araçları da yeni kavramların ve yeni yaklaşımların oluşmasını sağlamıştır. Özellikle son dönemde, gelenekselden dijitale doğru evrilen medya, yerini “Yeni Medya” kavramına bırakmıştır. Yeni medyada, izleyicinin daha aktif bir role sahip olduğu ve bu durumun dijital ortam aracılığıyla sağlandığı bilinmektedir. Dijitalleşen düzende, dönüşüm yaşayan alanlardan biri de belgesel türüdür. Bu türü temsil eden yapımlarda, yenilenen medyanın etkisiyle izleyicinin interaktif bir biçimde tercih yapabildiği görülmektedir. Dijital medya kanalı olan Netflix’in, çeşitli türlerde film ve dizileri interaktif bir yapıda izleyiciye sunması, bu çıkarımı desteklemektedir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmada ele alınan “You vs. Wild” adlı interaktif belgesel programının da Netflix’in dikkat çeken yapımları arasında olduğu gözlenmektedir.     Ülkemizde Doğu Karadeniz dağlarının denize bakan kesimlerinde saf ya da karışık ormanlar kuran Doğu ladini (Picea orientalis) en son verilere göre toplam 297.396 hektarlık orman alanına sahiptir. Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinde Ordu Melet Irmağından Kafkaslara kadar uzanan geniş coğrafyaya yayılan doğu ladini ormanlarına ait verilerin toplanması sırasında birtakım zorluklarla karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu zorlukların temelinde, Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinin kendine has olan özellikleri yatmaktadır. Bunlar; arazi koşulları (eğim, bakı, yükselti), sosyo-kültürel faktörler (usulsüz kesimler, sosyal baskı), orman kadastrosunda yaşanan sorunlar, dağınık yerleşim (arazi toplulaştırmasının olmaması), düzensiz arazi kullanımı (tarım orman iç içe girmiş), yetişme ortamı koşullarının zorluğu (verimsiz arazi) ve diri örtü (kapalılığı bozuk alanlarda ormangülü, karayemiş)’nü sıralayabiliriz. Ortalama arazi eğiminin yüksekliği, yetişme ortamı koşullarının zorluğu ve halkın yaşam şekli dikkate alındığında veri toplama oldukça zahmetli bir süreçten geçmektedir. Yerleşim alanlarının dağınıklığı yanında özel kişilere ait arazilerde de ağaç topluluklarının bulunması uzaktan algılama çalışmalarını (orta ölçekli uydu görüntülerinde) güçleştirmektedir. Ayrıca, gerek hava fotoğraflarından gerekse yüksek çözünürlüklü uydu görüntülerinden yararlanma da yüksek maliyet gerektirmektedir. Doğu Ladinin yavaş büyüyen bir tür olması ve yapılacak teknik müdahaleleri de zorlaştırmaktadır. Doğu ladinine ait alansal değerler ise orman amenajman planına yönelik çekilen 1/15000 ölçekli renkli kızılötesi hava fotoğraflarından elde edilmektedir. Yapılan orman amenajman planı konumsal veri değerlendirmelerinin kullanışlılığı tartışılır durumdadır. Veri kaynakları olarak geçmiş dönem ve yürürlükteki orman amenajman planları, hava fotoğrafları, farklı çözünürlüklere sahip uydu görüntüleri ve arazi envanter çalışmalarını sayabiliriz. Bunlardan güncel, güvenilir ve en az maliyette veri elde edilmesi için uzaktan algılama teknikleri kullanılmaktadır. Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinde uzaktan algılama ile veri eldesinde karşılaşılan güçlüklere değinilmiş ve çözün yolları sergilenmiştir. Coğrafi veri tabanının kurulmasında, yalnız doğu ladinine ilişkin alanlar değil, aynı zamanda ülke genelinde mevcut tüm yapıların tamamıyla disiplinler arası yaklaşımla oluşturulması gerekmektedir. Nihayetinde kurumlar içi ve arası veri değişim politikaları oluşturularak bilişim birimleri kurulmalıdır. Belli zamansal periyotlarda veriler güvenilir, güncel ve ekonomik olarak elde edilmelidir. Spruce (Picea orientalis), distributed from Ordu Melet river to Caucasian regions, covers 297 396 ha area, according to the latest forest inventory data. There is a serious difficulty in gathering spatial data about spruce forests because of large coverage and harsh topographic pattern. Eastern Black Sea region has some difficult conditions. These are topography (steep slopes, frequently changing aspect, high elevation), socio-cultural factors (illegal land use, social pressure), forest cadastral or land surveying difficulties (scattered settlements, irregular land use pattern, complication of forest sites). Collection of spatial data is thus very difficult due mainly to higher average slope, individually scattered settlements for any remote sensing studies. Furthermore, both aerial photographs and high-resolution satellite images are costly. Spruce is a slow growing species requiring sensitive and careful technical interventions. Areal information of spruce forests is produced from 1/15.000 average scale colored infrared aerial photograph to prepare forest management plans with forest cover type (stand) maps. Use of spatial data in forest management plan is subject to question as the data sources are old coming from current forest management plans and aerial photograph. Situation of forest and non-forest areas and stand types are determined fast, reliably, and currently using remote sensing technique based on advanced information technology. Using remote sensing to gather data and evaluating them with Geographic Information Systems are necessary for successful forestry initiatives. Accurate data are collected fast enough, and the data are easily updated periodically. Remotely sensed data are interpreted using an image, recorded into a data base, managed with an appropriate database management system and finally maintained with established GIS software. Spatial analysis and queries are conducted easily and time would be saved. Current data about spruce forests can easily be updated by classification of high resolution satellite image.

    Internet of Things (IoT) can be defined as the communication network that connects physical devices such as sensors, actuators, electronic home appliances and smart devices with each other and other systems. As part of IoT, numerous physical devices work concurrently and produce data continuously with big volumes. In this regard, NoSQL technology is utilized, because relational databases are insufficient to store and query the IoT data. NoSQL is the database technology that allows rapid organization of different non-relational data types. NoSQL databases are divided into four categories, which are key-value based, column-oriented, document-oriented and graph databases. Since graph databases do not provide effective solutions for IoT data, several studies in the literature focus on the use of database technologies in the other three categories for the purpose of storing and querying IoT data more effectively. In this paper, it is aimed to evaluate the storage and query performance of MongoDB on IoT data. It has been decided to use MongoDB, which is a document-oriented NoSQL database technology, because of its popular usage and high performance. Yahoo Cloud Serving Benchmark (YCSB), which is an open source tool developed by Yahoo that allows database operations at different volumes, is used for performance measurements. YCSB has been made compatible with the IoT dataset that is used for performance measurements, by re-organizing its DB Interface Layer for this study. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte uygulanan kısıtlamalar ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) tarafından yapılan uyarılar sebebiyle müşterilerin işlemlerini yapabilmeleri için bankaların hizmet kanallarında işlem çeşitliliğini artırmalarına ve işlem limitlerinde değişikliğe gitmelerine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada bankaların 2019-2022 Nisan-Haziran dönemlerine ait dijital kanallarındaki değişimler incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla bankaların dijital kanallarındaki müşteri sayıları, işlem adetleri, işlem hacimleri şube ve çalışan sayıları yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma verilerine Türkiye Bankalar Birliği (TBB) ve Bankalar Arası Kart Merkezi (BKM)’ nin resmi internet siteleri üzerinden ulaşılmıştır. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte dijital kanal kullanımlarında artış görülmektedir. Çalışmanın verilerine göre bankaların dijital kanallarını kullanan müşteri sayılarında 4 yıllık süreçte %78 artış görülmektedir. Mobil bankacılığı kullanan müşterilerin ise %90 oranında arttığı görülmektedir. Kart sayılarında %40 artış görülürken mobil temassız ve karekodla yapılan ödeme sayılarında da çok büyük oranda artış görülmektedir. Koronavirüs salgını öncesi 2019 dönemi ve hemen sonrasındaki 2020 yılındaki dönemlerde artış oranlarının daha yüksek olduğu da dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışan sayılarında %3 ve şube sayılarında ise %9 azalma görülmektedir. With the advancement of technology, customers in the banking sector also want to be able to access products and services with faster and easier steps. With digital banking, it is aimed to be easy, innovative and accessible in products and services. The platforms created by the banks' changes in this direction provide satisfaction, time and cost savings. With customer satisfaction, it is aimed to increase the number of customers and at the same time to sell more products and services to existing customers. With digitalization, customers' orientation to branches is also decreasing. Due to the restrictions applied with the coronavirus epidemic and the warnings made by the World Health Organization (WHO), banks have increased the variety of transactions in their service channels and changed their transaction limits so that customers can perform their transactions. In this study, the changes in the digital channels of the banks for the 2019-2022 April-June periods were examined. For this purpose, the number of customers, transaction numbers, transaction volumes, branches and employee numbers in the digital channels of banks were interpreted. The research data were obtained from the official websites of the Banks Association of Turkey (TBB) and the Interbank Card Center (BKM). With the coronavirus epidemic, there is an increase in the use of digital channels. According to the data of the study, there is a 78% increase in the number of customers using the digital channels of banks in a 4-year period. It is observed that customers using mobile banking increased by 90%. While the number of cards has increased by 40%, the number of payments made with mobile contactless and data matrix has also increased significantly. It is also noteworthy that the rate of increase was higher in the period of 2019 before the coronavirus epidemic and in the following periods in 2020. There is a 3% decrease in the number of employees and a 9% decrease in the number of branches.

    Binlerce yıllık bilgi birikimi ve tecrübenin varlık bulduğu ve çoğunlukla at başta olmak üzere diğer hayvan türlerinin hastalıkları ile bu hastalıkların tedavi bilgilerini içeren el yazması eserler baytarname, esbname, haylname, bazname gibi farklı isimlerle anılmaktadır. İslam Uygarlığı Döneminde de oluşturulan özgün yapıdaki bu eserler, aynı zamanda Eski Mısır, Eski Hindistan ve Antik Yunan gibi farklı uygarlıkların izlerini de taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma ile binlerce yıllık bilgi birikimini taşıyan bu yazma eserlerin organik hayvansal üretimde tedavi ve koruyucu hekimlik açısından değerlendirilmesine bir baytarname incelemesi üzerinden ışık tutulması amaçlandı. Çalışmanın başlıca materyalini doktora tezi olarak yürütülen bir el yazması eser ve bu eserde yer alan konu ile ilgili bilgiler oluşturdu. Ayrıca konu kapsamında ulaşılabilen ve daha önce gerçekleştirilmiş kitap, tez, araştırma ve derleme çalışmaları da değerlendirildi. Bu eser(ler)de, hayvan tedavilerinde bitkisel, hayvansal ve madensel ilaç hammaddelerinin (droglar) kullanıldığı, ayrıca kan alma ve dağlama (koterizasyon) uygulamalarının da tedavi yöntemleri arasında yer aldığı belirlendi. Bitkisel, hayvansal ve madensel droglar üzerine farmakolojik, toksikolojik ve klinik denemelerin arttığı günümüzde alternatif olmasa da tamamlayıcı rolü modern hekimlikte kabul gören bu yöntemlerin, suni ilaç kullanımının yasaklandığı ya da sınırlandığı organik hayvansal üretim açısından kayda değer bir kaynak oluşturabileceği söylenebilir. Manuscripts, containing thousands of years of information and experiences about the treatment of diseases of other animal species, mostly horses, are known by different names such as baitarname, esbname, haylname and bazname. These authentic works, which were also established during the Islamic Civilization period, also bear the traces of different civilizations such as Ancient Egypt, Ancient India and Ancient Greek. With this study, it was aimed to shed light on the evaluation of these manuscripts which have thousands of years of knowledge in terms of treatment and preventive medicine in organic animal production. The main material of the work is originated of a manuscript work conducted as a doctoral thesis and of information on the subject. In addition, books, theses, researches and compilation studies that can be reached within the scope of the subject and which were studied before were also evaluated. In these study, it is observed that the use of herbal, animal and mineral resources as medicines in the treatment, as well as the applications of phlebotomization and cauterization are among the treatment methods. Increased pharmacological, toxicological and clinical trials on herbal, animal and mineral drugs, which are accepted as a complementary role even if they are not alternative, could be a valuable source of organic animal production for which artificial drug use is prohibited or restricted.

    RASAT L2 visible and panchromatic images were used to detect both thrust and salt tectonics structures as a reliable geologic mapping tool in this research. As a geographical transition plateau between Inner and Eastern Anatolian region, Sivas Basin doesn't show hampering vegetation on geologic outcroppings for remote sensing analyses. This feature also allow healthy interpretation possibilities. Salt structures in Sivas Basin can be counted in worldwide well-known examples (e.g. La Popa Mexico, Great Kavir Iran and Axel Heiberg Canada) conveniently. In this research, a detailed geological map was prepared in the field. The results show that both of visual interpretations and digital image processing methods spectrally could provide healthy discrimination power between different rock lithologies. Image fusion method was contributed to reveal these subtle tectonic and geomorphologic evidences that developed in and between salt and clastic lithologies. In addition, specifically chosen Landsat ETM+ bands such as 5 and 7 images together with RASAT visible bands were also used to create RGB combinations for geological studies. © 2016 IEEE. Bu bildiride, biçimbilimsel işlemlerle çıkarılan yapısal bilgi ve ana bileşenler analizi ile özetlenen spektral bilgi kullanılarak gürültüden etkilenmeyen bölütler elde eden bir yöntem sunduk. Yapılan deneyler yöntemin görüntü üzerinde komşuluk bilgisini ve spektral bilgiyi beraber kullanmayan başka bir yönteme göre daha düzgün ve anlamlı yapılar bulduğunu göstermiştir. Automatic segmentation of high-resolution remote sensing imagery is an important problem in urban applications because the resulting segmentations can provide valuable spatial and structural information that are complementary to pixel-based spectral information in classification. We present a method that combines structural information extracted by morphological processing with spectral information summarized using principal components analysis to produce precise segmentations that are also robust to noise. The experiments show that the method is able to detect structures in the image which are more precise and more meaningful than the structures detected by another approach that does not make strong use of neighborhood and spectral information.

Pet owners use a variety of tools and methods to monitor their animals' health. One of the most commonly used methods to track animal health is to observe animal activity level. A decrease in animal's activity level is the first and most obvious symptom in most animal diseases. In this study, an IoT system is developed to automatically recognize and track the activities of domestic animals. The system includes a sensor node attached to the pet's collar, a mobile application that transfers the data collected by this sensor node to the cloud architecture, and a software and user interface that automatically classifies and visualizes data in the cloud architecture. With the obtained data, the pet's activities within a day were determined by showing different classes of action (sitting, walking, running). Dogs were used as subjects in the study. © 2018 IEEE.

    Wetlands, which are formed as a result of centuries-old natural processes, which are among the priority ecosystems of the Earth in terms of biodiversity and which provide various ecosystem functions and services, also stand out as important components of a green infrastructure (GI) system. The aim of this study is to define the role of Dönemeç Delta within the existing and potential GI system of the city of Van and its immediate surroundings and to examine it within the framework of GI concept and related planning and protection tools. In this context; 1) the land use-land cover of the landscape in which Delta is located were evaluated in the context of core-area-corridor components of GI, 2) the current situation was assessed by the Driving Force-Pressure-Status-Impact-Response (DPSIR) and the land use/land cover (LU/LC) change analyses and 3) related spatial plans and Dönemeç Delta Management Plan were examined. The results show that the Dönemeç Delta is undertaking the core area function in the existing GI system of the city and its surroundings, but facing pressures and problems such as irregularities in the water regime, land developments, environmental pollution and degradation/damage of habitats. Therefore, continuity of the ecosystem functions and services, especially those regulating (e.g.water and climate) and supporting (habitat for wildlife), provided by the Delta are at risk. One of the primary solutions in this context is to make spatial planning decisions that will ensure the connectivity and continuity of the GI components of the surrounding rural and urban areas with the Delta.In this process, Dönemeç Delta and other wetlands in the vicinity of the city of Van should be considered as core areas; other natural and man-made green areas might be considered as core, site or corridor according to their characteristics. It was concluded that Environmental Order Plans scaled to 1/25000 are critical in the spatial planning process to establish GI systems., and thatthe planning codes and guidelines should also be prepared to ensure the continuity of GI systems in Master Plans scaled to 1/5000 and 1/1000. Yüzyıllık doğal süreçler sonucu oluşmuş, biyoçeşitlilik bakımından yeryüzünün öncelikli ekosistemlerinden olan ve birçok ekosistem işlevleri ve yararları sağlayan sulak alanlar, yeşil altyapı (YA) sisteminin de önemli bileşenleri olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Dönemeç Deltası’nın, Van Kenti ve yakın çevresindeki mevcut ve planlanması olası YA sistemi içindeki rolünün tanımlanarak, ilgili planlama ve koruma araçları kapsamında YA konsepti çerçevesinde irdelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda; 1) Delta’nın yer aldığı peyzajın arazi kullanım-arazi örtüsü, çekirdek-alan-koridor bileşenleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş, 2) İtici Güç-Baskı-Durum-Etki-Tepki (DPSIR) analizi ve 28 yıl içindeki arazi kullanım/arazi örtüsü (AÖAK) değişim analizi ile mevcut durumu değerlendirilmiş ve 3) ilgili mekansal ve eylem planları incelenmiştir. Bulgular, Dönemeç Deltası’nın, Kent ve çevresindeki mevcut YA sisteminde çekirdek alan işlevlerini üstlendiğini, ancak temel olarak su rejimindeki düzensizlikler, yapılaşma, çevre kirliliği ve habitatların parçalanması/zarar görmesi gibi baskılar ve sorunlarla karşı karşıya olduğunu göstermiştir. Buna göre Delta’nın sağladığı, özellikle düzenleyici (örn: su ve iklim) ve destekleyici (yaban hayatı için habitat sağlama) ekosistem işlev ve yararların devamlılığı risk altındadır. Öncelikli çözümlerden biri, Delta ile çevresindeki kırsal alanda ve kentsel doku içinde yer alan YA bileşenlerinin bağlantılılığını ve sürekliliğini sağlayacak mekânsal planlama kararlarının verilmesidir. Bu süreçte, Dönemeç Deltası ve Van Kenti yakın çevresindeki diğer sulak alanlar, çekirdek alan olarak değerlendirilmelidir. Çalışma alanı örneğinde olduğu gibi, kentsel alanlarda kent çeperlerini de kapsayan YA sistemlerinin kurulmasında 1/25000 ölçekli çevre düzeni planları kritik önem taşırken, sistemin 1/5000 ölçekli nazım imar planlarında ve 1/1000 ölçekli uygulama imar planlarında devamlılığını sağlayacak planlama kodlarının ve rehberlerinin hazırlanması gerekmektedir.

    With the vision of the internet of things (IoT), it is expected that wireless networks will grow, concentrate and traffic carried will increase in the future. In wireless networks, multi-hop communication can be used instead of single-hop communication that we are accustomed today. Multi-hop communication is known to provide enhanced goodput performance for large and dense wireless networks under moderate traffic load. Nevertheless, the major problem is the goodput collapse experienced under high traffic load due to packet losses. One of the reasons of this problem in multi-hop communication is the emergence of a hidden terminal problem that we are not encountering in single-hop communication. In this study, two methods, prioritizing frames and varying contention window size according to the Residual Hop Count (RHC), are proposed and goodput performance is investigated through simulations. As a result of the studies, the goodput performance has been increased significantly under high traffic load. Nesnelerin interneti (IoT) vizyonu ile gelecekte kablosuz ağların büyümesi, yoğunlaşması ve taşınan trafiğin artması beklenmektedir. Kablosuz ağlarda bugün alışkın olduğumuz tek sekmeli haberleşme yerine çok-sekmeli haberleşme de kullanılabilir. Çok-sekmeli haberleşmenin, büyük ve yoğun kablosuz ağlar için ortalama trafik yükü altında daha iyi ulaştırılan iş performansı sağladığı gösterilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, ağır trafik yükleri altında paket düşüşünün artması ile ulaştırılan iş çöküşünün yaşanması en büyük sorundur. Bu sorunun nedenlerinden biri, çok-sekmeli haberleşmede tek-sekmeli haberleşmeye kıyasla karşılaştığımız gizli terminal sorunudur. Bu çalışmada, Kalan Sekme Sayılarına (KSS) göre paketlere öncelik verilmesi ve değişen kapışma penceresi büyüklüğüne ilişkin iki yöntem önerilmiş ve ulaştırılan iş performansı araştırılmıştır.     In the rapidly digitalizing world with the effect of technological developments, new mass media has started to emerge. This mass media has created new concepts and new approaches. Especially recently, the media, which has evolved from traditional to digital, has been replaced by the concept of "New Media". It is known that the audience has a more active role in new media and this is achieved through digital media. Documentary genre is one of the areas undergoing transformation in the digitalized order. In the productions representing this genre, it is seen that the audience can make an interactive choice with the effect of the renewed media. The fact that Netflix, a digital media channel, presents movies and series of various genres to the audience in an interactive structure supports this inference. In this context, it is observed that the interactive documentary program called “You vs. Wild” discussed in the study is among the remarkable productions of Netflix. In this program, presented by Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls, the presenter aims to reach the determined goal with the guidance of the audience. In this study, it is aimed to examine the interactive documentary genre in the example of You vs. Wild program, based on the development of new media. The study, which was analyzed with the qualitative research method, was handled within the framework of phenomenology design. In this program, which created the impression that the audience guides the presenter, it was concluded that the adventure and limits were determined by the production team. Teknolojik gelişmelerin etkisiyle hızla dijitalleşen dünyada, yeni iletişim araçları ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Bu iletişim araçları da yeni kavramların ve yeni yaklaşımların oluşmasını sağlamıştır. Özellikle son dönemde, gelenekselden dijitale doğru evrilen medya, yerini “Yeni Medya” kavramına bırakmıştır. Yeni medyada, izleyicinin daha aktif bir role sahip olduğu ve bu durumun dijital ortam aracılığıyla sağlandığı bilinmektedir. Dijitalleşen düzende, dönüşüm yaşayan alanlardan biri de belgesel türüdür. Bu türü temsil eden yapımlarda, yenilenen medyanın etkisiyle izleyicinin interaktif bir biçimde tercih yapabildiği görülmektedir. Dijital medya kanalı olan Netflix’in, çeşitli türlerde film ve dizileri interaktif bir yapıda izleyiciye sunması, bu çıkarımı desteklemektedir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmada ele alınan “You vs. Wild” adlı interaktif belgesel programının da Netflix’in dikkat çeken yapımları arasında olduğu gözlenmektedir.     Ülkemizde Doğu Karadeniz dağlarının denize bakan kesimlerinde saf ya da karışık ormanlar kuran Doğu ladini (Picea orientalis) en son verilere göre toplam 297.396 hektarlık orman alanına sahiptir. Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinde Ordu Melet Irmağından Kafkaslara kadar uzanan geniş coğrafyaya yayılan doğu ladini ormanlarına ait verilerin toplanması sırasında birtakım zorluklarla karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu zorlukların temelinde, Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinin kendine has olan özellikleri yatmaktadır. Bunlar; arazi koşulları (eğim, bakı, yükselti), sosyo-kültürel faktörler (usulsüz kesimler, sosyal baskı), orman kadastrosunda yaşanan sorunlar, dağınık yerleşim (arazi toplulaştırmasının olmaması), düzensiz arazi kullanımı (tarım orman iç içe girmiş), yetişme ortamı koşullarının zorluğu (verimsiz arazi) ve diri örtü (kapalılığı bozuk alanlarda ormangülü, karayemiş)’nü sıralayabiliriz. Ortalama arazi eğiminin yüksekliği, yetişme ortamı koşullarının zorluğu ve halkın yaşam şekli dikkate alındığında veri toplama oldukça zahmetli bir süreçten geçmektedir. Yerleşim alanlarının dağınıklığı yanında özel kişilere ait arazilerde de ağaç topluluklarının bulunması uzaktan algılama çalışmalarını (orta ölçekli uydu görüntülerinde) güçleştirmektedir. Ayrıca, gerek hava fotoğraflarından gerekse yüksek çözünürlüklü uydu görüntülerinden yararlanma da yüksek maliyet gerektirmektedir. Doğu Ladinin yavaş büyüyen bir tür olması ve yapılacak teknik müdahaleleri de zorlaştırmaktadır. Doğu ladinine ait alansal değerler ise orman amenajman planına yönelik çekilen 1/15000 ölçekli renkli kızılötesi hava fotoğraflarından elde edilmektedir. Yapılan orman amenajman planı konumsal veri değerlendirmelerinin kullanışlılığı tartışılır durumdadır. Veri kaynakları olarak geçmiş dönem ve yürürlükteki orman amenajman planları, hava fotoğrafları, farklı çözünürlüklere sahip uydu görüntüleri ve arazi envanter çalışmalarını sayabiliriz. Bunlardan güncel, güvenilir ve en az maliyette veri elde edilmesi için uzaktan algılama teknikleri kullanılmaktadır. Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinde uzaktan algılama ile veri eldesinde karşılaşılan güçlüklere değinilmiş ve çözün yolları sergilenmiştir. Coğrafi veri tabanının kurulmasında, yalnız doğu ladinine ilişkin alanlar değil, aynı zamanda ülke genelinde mevcut tüm yapıların tamamıyla disiplinler arası yaklaşımla oluşturulması gerekmektedir. Nihayetinde kurumlar içi ve arası veri değişim politikaları oluşturularak bilişim birimleri kurulmalıdır. Belli zamansal periyotlarda veriler güvenilir, güncel ve ekonomik olarak elde edilmelidir. Spruce (Picea orientalis), distributed from Ordu Melet river to Caucasian regions, covers 297 396 ha area, according to the latest forest inventory data. There is a serious difficulty in gathering spatial data about spruce forests because of large coverage and harsh topographic pattern. Eastern Black Sea region has some difficult conditions. These are topography (steep slopes, frequently changing aspect, high elevation), socio-cultural factors (illegal land use, social pressure), forest cadastral or land surveying difficulties (scattered settlements, irregular land use pattern, complication of forest sites). Collection of spatial data is thus very difficult due mainly to higher average slope, individually scattered settlements for any remote sensing studies. Furthermore, both aerial photographs and high-resolution satellite images are costly. Spruce is a slow growing species requiring sensitive and careful technical interventions. Areal information of spruce forests is produced from 1/15.000 average scale colored infrared aerial photograph to prepare forest management plans with forest cover type (stand) maps. Use of spatial data in forest management plan is subject to question as the data sources are old coming from current forest management plans and aerial photograph. Situation of forest and non-forest areas and stand types are determined fast, reliably, and currently using remote sensing technique based on advanced information technology. Using remote sensing to gather data and evaluating them with Geographic Information Systems are necessary for successful forestry initiatives. Accurate data are collected fast enough, and the data are easily updated periodically. Remotely sensed data are interpreted using an image, recorded into a data base, managed with an appropriate database management system and finally maintained with established GIS software. Spatial analysis and queries are conducted easily and time would be saved. Current data about spruce forests can easily be updated by classification of high resolution satellite image.

    Internet of Things (IoT) can be defined as the communication network that connects physical devices such as sensors, actuators, electronic home appliances and smart devices with each other and other systems. As part of IoT, numerous physical devices work concurrently and produce data continuously with big volumes. In this regard, NoSQL technology is utilized, because relational databases are insufficient to store and query the IoT data. NoSQL is the database technology that allows rapid organization of different non-relational data types. NoSQL databases are divided into four categories, which are key-value based, column-oriented, document-oriented and graph databases. Since graph databases do not provide effective solutions for IoT data, several studies in the literature focus on the use of database technologies in the other three categories for the purpose of storing and querying IoT data more effectively. In this paper, it is aimed to evaluate the storage and query performance of MongoDB on IoT data. It has been decided to use MongoDB, which is a document-oriented NoSQL database technology, because of its popular usage and high performance. Yahoo Cloud Serving Benchmark (YCSB), which is an open source tool developed by Yahoo that allows database operations at different volumes, is used for performance measurements. YCSB has been made compatible with the IoT dataset that is used for performance measurements, by re-organizing its DB Interface Layer for this study. Müşteri memnuniyeti ile müşteri sayısında artış ve aynı zamanda mevcut müşterilere daha fazla ürün ve hizmet satışı hedeflenmektedir. Dijitalleşme ile müşterilerin şubelere yönelimleri de azalmaktadır. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte uygulanan kısıtlamalar ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) tarafından yapılan uyarılar sebebiyle müşterilerin işlemlerini yapabilmeleri için bankaların hizmet kanallarında işlem çeşitliliğini artırmalarına ve işlem limitlerinde değişikliğe gitmelerine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada bankaların 2019-2022 Nisan-Haziran dönemlerine ait dijital kanallarındaki değişimler incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla bankaların dijital kanallarındaki müşteri sayıları, işlem adetleri, işlem hacimleri şube ve çalışan sayıları yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma verilerine Türkiye Bankalar Birliği (TBB) ve Bankalar Arası Kart Merkezi (BKM)’ nin resmi internet siteleri üzerinden ulaşılmıştır. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte dijital kanal kullanımlarında artış görülmektedir. Çalışmanın verilerine göre bankaların dijital kanallarını kullanan müşteri sayılarında 4 yıllık süreçte %78 artış görülmektedir. Mobil bankacılığı kullanan müşterilerin ise %90 oranında arttığı görülmektedir. Kart sayılarında %40 artış görülürken mobil temassız ve karekodla yapılan ödeme sayılarında da çok büyük oranda artış görülmektedir. Koronavirüs salgını öncesi 2019 dönemi ve hemen sonrasındaki 2020 yılındaki dönemlerde artış oranlarının daha yüksek olduğu da dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışan sayılarında %3 ve şube sayılarında ise %9 azalma görülmektedir. With the advancement of technology, customers in the banking sector also want to be able to access products and services with faster and easier steps. With digital banking, it is aimed to be easy, innovative and accessible in products and services. The platforms created by the banks' changes in this direction provide satisfaction, time and cost savings. With customer satisfaction, it is aimed to increase the number of customers and at the same time to sell more products and services to existing customers. With digitalization, customers' orientation to branches is also decreasing. Due to the restrictions applied with the coronavirus epidemic and the warnings made by the World Health Organization (WHO), banks have increased the variety of transactions in their service channels and changed their transaction limits so that customers can perform their transactions. In this study, the changes in the digital channels of the banks for the 2019-2022 April-June periods were examined. For this purpose, the number of customers, transaction numbers, transaction volumes, branches and employee numbers in the digital channels of banks were interpreted. The research data were obtained from the official websites of the Banks Association of Turkey (TBB) and the Interbank Card Center (BKM). With the coronavirus epidemic, there is an increase in the use of digital channels. According to the data of the study, there is a 78% increase in the number of customers using the digital channels of banks in a 4-year period. It is observed that customers using mobile banking increased by 90%. While the number of cards has increased by 40%, the number of payments made with mobile contactless and data matrix has also increased significantly. It is also noteworthy that the rate of increase was higher in the period of 2019 before the coronavirus epidemic and in the following periods in 2020. There is a 3% decrease in the number of employees and a 9% decrease in the number of branches.

    Binlerce yıllık bilgi birikimi ve tecrübenin varlık bulduğu ve çoğunlukla at başta olmak üzere diğer hayvan türlerinin hastalıkları ile bu hastalıkların tedavi bilgilerini içeren el yazması eserler baytarname, esbname, haylname, bazname gibi farklı isimlerle anılmaktadır. İslam Uygarlığı Döneminde de oluşturulan özgün yapıdaki bu eserler, aynı zamanda Eski Mısır, Eski Hindistan ve Antik Yunan gibi farklı uygarlıkların izlerini de taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma ile binlerce yıllık bilgi birikimini taşıyan bu yazma eserlerin organik hayvansal üretimde tedavi ve koruyucu hekimlik açısından değerlendirilmesine bir baytarname incelemesi üzerinden ışık tutulması amaçlandı. Çalışmanın başlıca materyalini doktora tezi olarak yürütülen bir el yazması eser ve bu eserde yer alan konu ile ilgili bilgiler oluşturdu. Ayrıca konu kapsamında ulaşılabilen ve daha önce gerçekleştirilmiş kitap, tez, araştırma ve derleme çalışmaları da değerlendirildi. Bu eser(ler)de, hayvan tedavilerinde bitkisel, hayvansal ve madensel ilaç hammaddelerinin (droglar) kullanıldığı, ayrıca kan alma ve dağlama (koterizasyon) uygulamalarının da tedavi yöntemleri arasında yer aldığı belirlendi. Bitkisel, hayvansal ve madensel droglar üzerine farmakolojik, toksikolojik ve klinik denemelerin arttığı günümüzde alternatif olmasa da tamamlayıcı rolü modern hekimlikte kabul gören bu yöntemlerin, suni ilaç kullanımının yasaklandığı ya da sınırlandığı organik hayvansal üretim açısından kayda değer bir kaynak oluşturabileceği söylenebilir. Manuscripts, containing thousands of years of information and experiences about the treatment of diseases of other animal species, mostly horses, are known by different names such as baitarname, esbname, haylname and bazname. These authentic works, which were also established during the Islamic Civilization period, also bear the traces of different civilizations such as Ancient Egypt, Ancient India and Ancient Greek. With this study, it was aimed to shed light on the evaluation of these manuscripts which have thousands of years of knowledge in terms of treatment and preventive medicine in organic animal production. The main material of the work is originated of a manuscript work conducted as a doctoral thesis and of information on the subject. In addition, books, theses, researches and compilation studies that can be reached within the scope of the subject and which were studied before were also evaluated. In these study, it is observed that the use of herbal, animal and mineral resources as medicines in the treatment, as well as the applications of phlebotomization and cauterization are among the treatment methods. Increased pharmacological, toxicological and clinical trials on herbal, animal and mineral drugs, which are accepted as a complementary role even if they are not alternative, could be a valuable source of organic animal production for which artificial drug use is prohibited or restricted.

    RASAT L2 visible and panchromatic images were used to detect both thrust and salt tectonics structures as a reliable geologic mapping tool in this research. As a geographical transition plateau between Inner and Eastern Anatolian region, Sivas Basin doesn't show hampering vegetation on geologic outcroppings for remote sensing analyses. This feature also allow healthy interpretation possibilities. Salt structures in Sivas Basin can be counted in worldwide well-known examples (e.g. La Popa Mexico, Great Kavir Iran and Axel Heiberg Canada) conveniently. In this research, a detailed geological map was prepared in the field. The results show that both of visual interpretations and digital image processing methods spectrally could provide healthy discrimination power between different rock lithologies. Image fusion method was contributed to reveal these subtle tectonic and geomorphologic evidences that developed in and between salt and clastic lithologies. In addition, specifically chosen Landsat ETM+ bands such as 5 and 7 images together with RASAT visible bands were also used to create RGB combinations for geological studies. © 2016 IEEE. Bu bildiride, biçimbilimsel işlemlerle çıkarılan yapısal bilgi ve ana bileşenler analizi ile özetlenen spektral bilgi kullanılarak gürültüden etkilenmeyen bölütler elde eden bir yöntem sunduk. Yapılan deneyler yöntemin görüntü üzerinde komşuluk bilgisini ve spektral bilgiyi beraber kullanmayan başka bir yönteme göre daha düzgün ve anlamlı yapılar bulduğunu göstermiştir. Automatic segmentation of high-resolution remote sensing imagery is an important problem in urban applications because the resulting segmentations can provide valuable spatial and structural information that are complementary to pixel-based spectral information in classification. We present a method that combines structural information extracted by morphological processing with spectral information summarized using principal components analysis to produce precise segmentations that are also robust to noise. The experiments show that the method is able to detect structures in the image which are more precise and more meaningful than the structures detected by another approach that does not make strong use of neighborhood and spectral information.
