    Climate is considered to be the main factor that determines forest species distribution. In Serbia, climatic series show a global warming trend and an increase in frequency of summer droughts, which should affect growth and regeneration of tree populations. European beech is one of the major tree species in Serbia, considering its large spatial distribution and involment in total wood volume. Beech is particularly sensitive to drought and high temperatures. In the temperate-continental zone, it is almost certain, based on climate scenarios, that the frequent summer droughts will lead to increasement of vulnerability to some European beech ecosystems within the current range. Changes in climate not only will increase vulnerability of the beech ecosystems but also will reduce natural range of this particular species in some areas. The most endangered areas are considered the regions of South and South-East Europe, as well as stands at the lower altitudes. In order to make predictions of the future distribution range of beech forest ecosystems and insight into the ability of provenances to adapt to the different site conditions, several provenance trials, in five European countries were founded as a final product within COST Action E52: "Evaluation of Beech Genetic Resources for Sustainable Forestry". As a participant of the above mentioned program, two provenance trials were established in 2007 in the Republic of Serbia. One of the trials is situated on the territory of National park "Fruška Gora", while the second one is located on the territory of the Scientific Centre of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Forestry – "Majdanpečka Domena", in Debeli Lug. Research conducted in this doctoral dissertation was focused on the investigation of variability of anatomical, physiological and morphological parameters of European beech provenances, in two Serbian provenance trials. Study was conducted in 2010 and 2011, and involved 21 provenance in total, which were common for both of the trials. The results showed the significant genetic variation within and between different provenances, and that the measurement results were influenced by genetic constitution of the provenance, as well as site conditions.. Bukva je jedna od najvažnijih vrsta drveća u Srbiji, s obzirom na njenu prostornu zastupljenost i učešće u ukupnoj drvnoj zapremini. Očekivane klimatske promene, koje će se u umereno-kontinentalnoj klimatskoj zoni manifestovati kroz intenziviranje i trajanje suša tokom vegetacionog perioda, imaće negativan uticaj na bukvu, koja je poznata kao vrsta osetljiva na sušu. Danas je gotovo izvesno da će učestale letnje suše voditi ka povećanoj ugroženosti pojedinih ekosistema bukve unutar postojećeg areala, pri čemu pojedine procene idu čak dotle da predviđaju da će usled ovakvih promena doći do redukcije prirodnog areala vrste u pojedinim krajevima. Kao najugroženija područja smatraju se regioni južne i jugo-istočne Evrope, kao i staništa na nižim nadmorskim visinama. Kako bi se uradila procena budućeg areala bukve u sklopu globalnih klimatskih promena i sagledala sposobnosti populacija da se prilagode izmenjenim stanišnim uslovima, u okviru COST akcije E52: "Evaluation of beech genetic resources for sustainable forestry", osnovano je više provenijeničnih testova u više zemalja Evrope. Kako je Srbija bila učesnik navedenog programa to je na njenoj teritoriji, u 2007. godini, osnovano dva provenijenična testa. Jedan je osnovan na teritoriji Nacionalnog parka "Fruška gora", dok je drugi osnovan u okviru Naučno-nastavne baze Šumarskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu "Majdanpečka Domena", u Debelom Lugu. Istraživanja sprovedena u okviru doktorske disertacije su bila usmerena na ispitivanje varijabilnosti pojedinih anatomskih, fizioloških i morfoloških parametara u provenijeničnim testovima bukve osnovanim na teritoriji Republike Srbije. Istraživanje je sprovedeno tokom 2010. i 2011. godine i obuhvatilo je ukupno 21 provenijenciju, koje su bile zajedničke za oba lokaliteta. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je postojala značajna genetička varijabilnost kako unutar, tako i između različitih provenijencija, kao i da su rezultati merenja bili pod uticajem kako genetičke konstitucije provenijencija, tako i stanišnih uslova lokaliteta na kojima su testovi osnovani...

    Authors: Živanović, Jelena;

    Much of the territory of today's Serbia became part of the Roman Empire in the first century AD. Roman provincial system was brought to this area a different kind of organization of settlements in accordance to the needs of the new administration. The Roman province of Upper Moesia, offered not just mineral resources, which are mentioned in ancient sources, but also the conditions for the development of agriculture. Establishment of the Roman provinces in the territory of Serbia is related with coming of military units and increased population. From roman sources we learn that the Romans knew about various types of soil and therefore the division performed according to what the land will be used. Thus we find the term ager sationalis, which applies only to fields with grains. Territory of the province of Upper Moesia was study and also the geomorphologic characteristics of the region and the opportunities for the production of grains, as well as the importance of agriculture in the economic development of the province of Upper Moesia. The biggest change in the province of Upper Moesia was made by the Roman army, and their permanent camps rise in Singidunum (Belgrade) and Viminacium (Kostolac), and numerous smaller fortifications across the border-limes and interior, by the end of the first century. The Roman army had organized food supply system. Among the foods that fall within the ordinary soldier's rations were also the grains. Archaeological excavations of roman sites, the analysis of tools used in farming, as well as materials that indirectly have to do with farming, contributes to knowing of utilization of the arable land. The expansion of arrivals administration to the central of the Roman Balkans, determine changes incurred in the direct production of cereals in the organization and their exploitation and distribution, as well as determining the possible importation of cereals from neighboring provinces. The role of the military, especially its veteran who after serving military service got a big land property, and deserves an important place in the study of the organization of agricultural production and the inclusion of Balkan-Pannonian provinces of the Roman empire. In order to contribute to the knowledge economy of the Roman province of Upper Moesia and the end of the third century studding method combines the processing of archaeological material from the ancient sites related to the production and storage of grain and ancient sources involved in agriculture in the Roman Empire, and the archaeological theoretical method. There is a significant incidence of agrarian cults of deities in the Roman province of Upper Moesia (Liber, Libera, Ceres, Silvan, Terra Mater, Priapus). The general conclusion is that the population of the territory of Upper Moesia, although predominantly rural, has been unable to produce sufficient amounts of grain for themselves and the military. Peasant farms of Upper Moesia, probably a small and not so densely populated province is concentrated on meeting the food needs of their own. Province of Upper Moesia (from the end of the first through the third century), the image of cereal is not significantly changed. Characteristic of the end of the third century in the already divided province of Upper Moesia, was the large number of farms and grain storage. Restoring people to the ground, and tying for the farms, the state applies when there is no other way to recover its economy. The relative stability and economic development in the provinces, was distorted, probably from the time when the state and its citizens, began to spend more than they earn. Again, most of the population of Moesia Superior, living mainly from agriculture, and these changes affected the least Већи део територије данашње Србије ушао је у састав Римске империје током I века наше ере. Укључивање у римски провинцијални систем донео је овом простору другачији вид организације насеља у складу са потребама нове управе. Римска провинција Горња Мезија, нудила је осим рудног богатства којe се у античким изворима помиње уз њено име, и услове за развој сточарства и земљорадње. Оснивањем римских провинција на територији данашње Србије неминовно је порастао број становника доласком војних јединица. Из извора сазнајемо да су Римљани познавали и разне типове земљишта и према томе вршили поделе у зависности за шта ће земљиште бити коришћено. Тако наилазимо на термин ager sationalis, који се односи само на терене под житарицама. Истраживана је територија провинције Горње Мезије са геоморфолошким карактеристикама те регије и могућностима за производњу житарица, затим врсте житарица које су могле бити гајене, као и значај пољопривредне производње у економском развоју провинције Горње Мезије. Највеће промене провинцији Горњој Мезији донела је римска војска која је своје сталне логоре подигла већ крајем I века у Сингидунуму (Београд) и Виминацијуму (Костолац), а бројна мања утврђења широм границе- лимеса и унутрашњости провинције. Римска војска је имала организовани систем снабдевања храном. Међу намирнице које су спадале у редовна војникова следовања убрајају се и житарице. Археолошка истраживања античких локалитета, анализа алата коришћеног при обрађивању земље, као и материјала који посредно има везе са пољопривредном производњом, доприноси утврђивању степена искоришћености обрадивих површина и њиховог ширења доласком римске управе на централни Балкан, утврђивање промена насталих у непосредној производњи житарица и у организацији њихове експлоатације и дистрибуције, као и утврђивање могућег увоза житарица из суседних провинција. Улога војске, нарочито њених ветерана који су након одслужене војне службе добијали земљишни посед велика је, и заслужује важно место у проучавању организације пољопривредне производње и укључивања балканско- панонских провинција у римску империју. Ради допринеса сазнању о привреди римске провинције Горње Мезије од I до краја III века изабрани метод комбинује обраду археолошког материјала са античких налазишта везаног за производњу и складиштење житарица и античке изворе који се баве пољопривредом у Римском царству, односно археолошки са теоријским методом. Значајна је распрострањеност култова аграрних божанстава у римској провинцији Горњој Мезији (Либер, Либера, Церес, Силван, Тера Матер, Пријап). Општи је закључак да становништво територије Горње Мезије, иако претежно земљорадничко, није било у стању да произведе довољне количине житарица за себе и војску. Сељачка имања Горње Мезије су, вероватно била малих димензија, а не тако бројно становништво провинције сконцентрисано на подмиривање сопствених потреба у храни. Током читавог трајања провинције Горње Мезије (од краја I до краја III века), слика производње житарица се није знатније мењала. Карактеристична појава са краја III века на простору тада већ подељене провинције Горње Мезије, су велика пољопривредна имања и бројна складишта за житарице. Враћање становништва на земљу, и везивање за пољопривредна имања, држава примењује када више нема начина да опорави своју привреду. Релативна стабилност, и привредни развој у провинцијама, поремећени су, вероватно, од тренутка када је држава, односно њени грађани, почели више да троше, него што зарађују. Опет су, најбројније земљорадничко становништво Горње Мезије, те промене најмање погодиле

    Doktorska disertacija obuhvata istraživanja dezmidnih algi na teritoriji Srbije. Algološki uzorci (299) za ovo istraživanje sakupljeni su u periodu od 2007. do 2011. godine sa 37 lokaliteta. Istraživanje je obuhvatilo različite tipove vodenih staništa: tresave, veštačke akumulacije, slane bare i ribnjake. Sa najvećeg broja lokaliteta sakupljano je više uzoraka iz različitih zajednica algi: planktona, bentosa, epifita. U radu je data sinonimika i opis svih zabeleženih taksona dezmidnih algi na teritoriji Srbije od 1883. godine do danas, tip staništa koja naseljavaju i rasprostranjenje u Srbiji. Pregledom literaturnih podataka i uzoraka sakupljenih ovim istraživanjem ustanovljeno je prisustvo 611 taksona dezmidnih algi na teritoriji Srbije, od čega je u ovom istraživanju utvrđeno 244 taksona iz 23 roda. Svi do sada zabeleženi taksoni dezmidnih algi svrstani su u 5 familija sa 25 rodova. Najveći broj taksona je utvrđen u rodovima Cosmarium (250), Staurastrum (102) i Closterium (86). Prvi put je za floru algi Srbije zabeleženo prisustvo dva nova roda (Cosmocladium i Heimansia) sa ukupno 3 nove vrste. Prvi put je za floru algi Srbije zabeleženo 69 taksona dezmidnih algi. Rodovi sa najvećim brojem novih taksona za floru algi Srbije su Cosmarium (25), Staurastrum (12) i Closterium (9). Pripadnici dezmidnih algi su nađeni u svim ispitivanim uzorcima. Statističkom obradom podataka utvrđeno je da postoji značajna korelisanost između trofičnosti i kiselosti staništa sa strukturom zajednica dezmidnih algi na istraživanim lokalitetima. The work compements and develops investigations on the desmid algae of Serbia. Algological samples (299) for this study were collected from 37 localities during the years 2007-2011. The samples of phytoplankton, benthos and epiphyte were collected from pit bogs, reservoirs, salt marshes and fish ponds. Detailed description of all desmid taxa which were found in Serbia since 1883 as well as their distribution in Serbia, habitats and saprobities are given. Total of 611 desmid taxa were rocorded for the territory of Serbia, 244 of which are dealt with in this work. All desmid taxa were classified in 5 families with 25 genera. The most numerous genera are Cosmarium (250), Staurastrum (102) and Closterium (86). For the first time two new genera (Cosmocladium and Heimansia) with 3 new species have been recorded in Serbia. The presence of 69 desmid taxa have been recorded for the fisrt time for territory of Serbia. The most numerous genera were Cosmarium (25), Staurastrum (12) and Closterium (9). In this investigation desmids have been found in all collected samples. Statistical research were shown that there are significant correlation between trophic status and acidity of water with structure of desmids community.

The results showed the significant genetic variation within and between different provenances, and that the measurement results were influenced by genetic constitution of the provenance, as well as site conditions.. Bukva je jedna od najvažnijih vrsta drveća u Srbiji, s obzirom na njenu prostornu zastupljenost i učešće u ukupnoj drvnoj zapremini. Očekivane klimatske promene, koje će se u umereno-kontinentalnoj klimatskoj zoni manifestovati kroz intenziviranje i trajanje suša tokom vegetacionog perioda, imaće negativan uticaj na bukvu, koja je poznata kao vrsta osetljiva na sušu. Danas je gotovo izvesno da će učestale letnje suše voditi ka povećanoj ugroženosti pojedinih ekosistema bukve unutar postojećeg areala, pri čemu pojedine procene idu čak dotle da predviđaju da će usled ovakvih promena doći do redukcije prirodnog areala vrste u pojedinim krajevima. Kao najugroženija područja smatraju se regioni južne i jugo-istočne Evrope, kao i staništa na nižim nadmorskim visinama. Kako bi se uradila procena budućeg areala bukve u sklopu globalnih klimatskih promena i sagledala sposobnosti populacija da se prilagode izmenjenim stanišnim uslovima, u okviru COST akcije E52: "Evaluation of beech genetic resources for sustainable forestry", osnovano je više provenijeničnih testova u više zemalja Evrope. Kako je Srbija bila učesnik navedenog programa to je na njenoj teritoriji, u 2007. godini, osnovano dva provenijenična testa. Jedan je osnovan na teritoriji Nacionalnog parka "Fruška gora", dok je drugi osnovan u okviru Naučno-nastavne baze Šumarskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu "Majdanpečka Domena", u Debelom Lugu. Istraživanja sprovedena u okviru doktorske disertacije su bila usmerena na ispitivanje varijabilnosti pojedinih anatomskih, fizioloških i morfoloških parametara u provenijeničnim testovima bukve osnovanim na teritoriji Republike Srbije. Istraživanje je sprovedeno tokom 2010. i 2011. godine i obuhvatilo je ukupno 21 provenijenciju, koje su bile zajedničke za oba lokaliteta. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je postojala značajna genetička varijabilnost kako unutar, tako i između različitih provenijencija, kao i da su rezultati merenja bili pod uticajem kako genetičke konstitucije provenijencija, tako i stanišnih uslova lokaliteta na kojima su testovi osnovani...

    Authors: Živanović, Jelena;
