    This paper explains the basics of the Internet of Things and the applications of the Internet of Things in today's world. Android mobile platform is described, as well as the basis of Android application architecture, the Philips Hue system, the implementation of the TensorFlow Lite library in the Android application and the implementation of the Hue REST API. An application has been created that can be used by several users. The application communicates with the Hue bridge via the Hue REST API, and in this way it is possible to control Hue devices, i.e. change their brightness, saturation, color and turn them on and off. It is possible for each user to get recommendations for the brightness and color of the light based on their user preferences. U ovom radu objašnjene su osnove Interneta stvari (engl. Internet of Things) te primjene Interneta stvari u današnjem svijetu. Opisana je Android mobilna platforma kao i osnove arhitekture Android aplikacije, Philips Hue sustav, implementacija TensorFlow Lite biblioteke u Android aplikaciju te implementacija Hue REST API-a sa Android aplikacijom. Izrađena je aplikacija koju može koristiti više korisnika. Aplikacija komunicira sa Hue mostom preko Hue REST API-a te je na taj način moguće upravljati Hue uređajima tj. mijenjati njihovu svjetlinu, zasićenost, boju te ih gasiti i paliti. Moguće je koristiti se preferencijama za pojedinog korisnika kako bi se dobile preporuke za svjetlinu i boju svjetla.

    In this paper, a control system for the BlueROV2 remotely operated vehicle (ROV) has been designed and implemented. The implementation enables communication between the robot and a control computer via ROS, where data from the robot's camera and sensors are sent to the control computer. Input from the joystick is received through the control computer, allowing control of the robot. Furthermore, a Unity application for the control center has been developed, providing the robot operator with a virtual reality (VR) interface. The VR control center displays a video stream from the robot's camera, as well as the robot's depth and orientation in space. U ovom radu dizajniran je i implementiran upravljački sustav za BlueROV2 robotsko vozilo. Implementacijom je realizirana komunikacija robota sa upravljačkim računalom sa kojim komunicira preko ROS-a, šalje tom računalu podatke sa kamere i senzora na robotu, a preko upravljačkog računala primamo input sa joystick-a i upravljamo robotom. Nadalje, implementirana je Unity aplikacija upravljačkog centra u kojoj operator robota u aplikaciji virtualne stvarnosti ima upravljački centar u kojem mu se prikazuje video stream sa kamere robota, te dubina na kojoj je robot i njegova orijentacija u prostoru.

    This thesis focuses on the development of a web application for data visualization in the context of a smart home. The purpose of the application is to provide users with insights into sensor data and enable them to control devices connected to the Home Assistant platform, which is used for home automation. The thesis is structured into three parts. The first part provides an introduction to the concept of a smart home and the Internet of Things (IoT). The second part focuses on the Home Assistant platform and the React JavaScript library, which will be used in the implementation of the application. The third part describes the implementation of the web application using React, provides a detailed explanation of the architecture and features of the application, and emphasizes the importance of leveraging cutting-edge technologies in the IoT domain. Through a realworld case study, the proposed solution is tested and its practical application in the context of a smart home is demonstrated. Ovaj završni rad fokusira se na izradu web aplikacije za prikaz podataka u okružju pametnog doma. Svrha aplikacije je omogućiti korisnicima uvid u senzorske podatke i upravljanje uređajima spojenim na Home Assistant platformu, koja se koristi za automatizaciju doma. Rad je organiziran u tri dijela. U prvom dijelu pružen je uvod u koncept pametnog doma i Internet stvari (IoT). Drugi dio rada fokusira se na Home Assistant platformu i React JavaScript biblioteku koje će se koristiti u izradi aplikacije. Treći dio opisuje implementaciju web aplikacije koristeći React, detaljno opisuje arhitekturu i funkcionalnosti aplikacije te naglašava važnost primjene najnovijih tehnologija u području IoT-a. Kroz stvarni studijski slučaj, predloženo rješenje je testirano i prikazana je njegova praktična primjena u kontekstu pametnog doma.

    Ovaj završni rad opisuje implementaciju prototipa sustava Interneta stvari (IoT) za inteligentno upravljanje u povrtlarstvu. U tu svrhu razvijen je prototip ugradbenih modula s razvojnom pločicom ESP32, klijentska i poslužiteljska softverska komponenta korištenjem programskog okvira Laravel i baze podataka MySQL. Za ugradbene module IoT (čvorove) korišteni su senzori čija je svrha praćenje bitnih parametara u uzgoju kao što su temperatura i vlažnost zraka, osvjetljenje, pH-vrijednost tla i vlažnost tla. Senzorski čvorovi prikupljaju podatke koji se prosljeđuju upravljačkom čvoru nakon čega ih upravljački čvor šalje na poslužitelj. Korisnik podacima pristupa putem web-aplikacije. Komunikacija između čvorova ostvarena je tehnologijom LoRa. This work describes the implementation of a prototype Internet of Things (IoT) system for smart management in vegetable farming. For this purpose, a prototype of embedded modules with the ESP32 development board was developed, along with client and server software components using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The IoT embedded modules (nodes) utilize sensors to monitor essential parameters in cultivation, such as air temperature and humidity, illumination, soil pH value, and soil moisture. The sensor nodes collect data, which is then transmitted to the control node, and subsequently sent to the server. Users access the data through a web application. Communication between the nodes is established using LoRa technology.

    Danas uređaji s Interneta stvari stvaraju jako velike količine podataka vremenskih serija koji se mijenjaju tijekom vremena, a Apache IoTDB baza podataka može jako efikasno pohraniti i analizirati te podatke. Zbog toga je u ovom završnom radu istražena i opisana baza podataka Apache IoTDB, koja je namijenjena za pohranu i upravljanje vremenskih serija podataka s Interneta stvari. Nakon toga je odabran studijski slučaj stvarnih podataka s Interneta stvari na kojem se evaluira ova baza podataka i u Javi je napravljeno programsko rješenje koje koristi ovu bazu podataka za pohranu, postavljanje upita i obradu podataka s Interneta stvara. Today, Internet of Things devices generate large volumes of time-series data that change over time, and the Apache IoTDB database can efficiently store and analyze this data. Therefore, this thesis explores and describes Apache IoTDB, a database specifically designed for storing and managing time-series data from the Internet of Things. After that, a real-world case study of Internet of Things data is selected to evaluate this database, and a Java program solution is developed that uses the database for storage, querying, and processing of Internet of Things data.

    This project focuses on the development of a smart agricultural irrigation system using an IoT-module with a development system based on an ESP32 microcontroller. IoT-module or so-called the sensor node integrates a sensor for measuring temperature and air humidity DHT11, a soil humidity sensor, a pH sensor and an LED lamp. A sensor node collects data from sensors and sends it to a server that executes a database and web application for real-time monitoring and control. The project successfully demonstrates the implementation of a smart irrigation system, enabling efficient use of water and improving crop yields. The integration of various sensors enables precise monitoring of soil and environmental conditions, providing farmers with the necessary information to optimize irrigation and improve productivity. Ovaj rad fokusira se na razvoj pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje u poljoprivredi pomoću IoT-modula s razvojnim sustavom koji je zasnovan na mikrokontroleru ESP32. IoT-modul ili tzv. senzorski čvor integrira senzor za mjerenje temperature i vlažnosti zraka DHT11 , senzor vlažnosti tla, pH-senzor i LED-lampicu. Senzorski čvor prikuplja podatke s senzora i šalje ih na poslužitelj koji izvršava bazu podataka i web-aplikaciju za praćenje i kontrolu u stvarnom vremenu. Projekt uspješno demonstrira implementaciju pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje, omogućujući učinkovito korištenje vode i poboljšanje prinosa usjeva. Integracija različitih senzora omogućuje precizno praćenje uvjeta tla i okoline, pružajući poljoprivrednicima potrebne informacije za optimizaciju navodnjavanja i poboljšanje produktivnosti.

    TinyML is a new and growing way of applying machine learning. TinyML is a combination of embedded devices with machine learning and the main advantages are: decentralization, faster data processing, enhanced privacy and relieving the servers. In the theoretical part of this thesis are described most popular embedded devices which support TinyML and the most popular frameworks. In the practical part, a model of machine learning is trained for two devices which represent wands used for aircraft marshalling signals and different signals are detected based on acceleration. For hardware, two FiPy development modules were used and two Pysense 2.0x sensor shields. TinyML je novi i rastući način primjene strojnog učenja koji kombinira ugradbene uređaje s modelima strojnog učenja. Prednosti su: decentralizacija, brža obrada podataka, privatnost, rasterećenje središnjeg sustava. U teoretskom dijelu ovoga rada obrađeni su najpopularniji ugradbeni uređaji koji podržavaju TinyML kao i najpopularniji razvojni okviri. U praktičnome dijelu zadatka je razvijen model strojnog učenje za dva uređaja koja emuliraju palice korištene za signaliziranje za parking zrakoplova te na temelju akceleracije detektiraju o kojem signalu se radi. Korišteni uređaji su dva FiPy modula i dvije Pysense 2.0x senzorske pločice.

    U završnom radu istražuje se razvoj Android aplikacije za praćenje vožnji temeljene na OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) sustavu. Rad se fokusira na implementaciju funkcionalnosti poput povezivanja s ELM327 uređajem putem Bluetooth veze, prikupljanja podataka korištenjem REST API-ja, prikaza statusa i očitanih podataka tijekom vožnje te spremanja i slanja vožnji na lokalnu ili udaljenu pohranu. Aplikacija omogućuje korisnicima prikupljanje raznih podataka o svojim vožnjama, uključujući brzinu, okretaje motora, opterećenje motora i druge relevantne informacije. Ti se podaci šalju posredniku koristeći protokol MQTT radi daljnje obrade i analize. Rezultat rada je intuitivna aplikacija koja korisnicima omogućuje prikupljanje korisnih informacija o vožnji, što ima potencijalnu primjenu u različitim analitičkim scenarijima. The final thesis explores the development of an Android application for tracking OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) based vehicle journeys. The focus is on implementing functionalities such as connecting to the ELM327 device via Bluetooth, collecting data through a REST API, displaying real-time status and readings during the journey, and storing/sending the recorded trips to local or remote storage. The application enables users to gather various data about their journeys, including speed, engine RPM, engine load, and other relevant information. These data are transmitted to a broker using the MQTT protocol for further processing and analysis. The result is an intuitive application that allows users to gather valuable journey information, with potential applications in various analytical scenarios.

    Exploring the field of robotics and mastering its intricacies has become a popular endeavor. Robotics hardware is often too expensive for individuals, so in this thesis a robotic simulator was developed for educational purposes. The system architecture was designed. A graphic system for interactive visual representation of the simulation has been implemented. The physics simulation necessary for a credible simulation of robotic systems is also integrated. In addition, numerous support systems have been integrated and implemented such as entities, components and systems, resource management system, job system... Istraživanje područja robotike i svladavanje njezinih zamršenosti postao je popularan pothvat. Sklopovlje robota nerijetko je preskup za individualne osobe pa je u ovom radu razvijen robotički simulator za edukacijske svrhe. Dizajnirana je arhitektura sustava. Implementirani su grafički sustav za interaktivan vizualna prikaz simulacije. Integrirana je i simulacija fizike neophodna za vjerodostojnu simulaciju robotskih sustava.     This paper explains the basics of the Internet of Things and the applications of the Internet of Things in today's world. Android mobile platform is described, as well as the basis of Android application architecture, the Philips Hue system, the implementation of the TensorFlow Lite library in the Android application and the implementation of the Hue REST API. An application has been created that can be used by several users. The application communicates with the Hue bridge via the Hue REST API, and in this way it is possible to control Hue devices, i.e. change their brightness, saturation, color and turn them on and off. It is possible for each user to get recommendations for the brightness and color of the light based on their user preferences. U ovom radu objašnjene su osnove Interneta stvari (engl. Internet of Things) te primjene Interneta stvari u današnjem svijetu. Opisana je Android mobilna platforma kao i osnove arhitekture Android aplikacije, Philips Hue sustav, implementacija TensorFlow Lite biblioteke u Android aplikaciju te implementacija Hue REST API-a sa Android aplikacijom. Izrađena je aplikacija koju može koristiti više korisnika. Aplikacija komunicira sa Hue mostom preko Hue REST API-a te je na taj način moguće upravljati Hue uređajima tj. mijenjati njihovu svjetlinu, zasićenost, boju te ih gasiti i paliti. Moguće je koristiti se preferencijama za pojedinog korisnika kako bi se dobile preporuke za svjetlinu i boju svjetla.

    In this paper, a control system for the BlueROV2 remotely operated vehicle (ROV) has been designed and implemented. The implementation enables communication between the robot and a control computer via ROS, where data from the robot's camera and sensors are sent to the control computer. Input from the joystick is received through the control computer, allowing control of the robot. Furthermore, a Unity application for the control center has been developed, providing the robot operator with a virtual reality (VR) interface. The VR control center displays a video stream from the robot's camera, as well as the robot's depth and orientation in space. U ovom radu dizajniran je i implementiran upravljački sustav za BlueROV2 robotsko vozilo. Implementacijom je realizirana komunikacija robota sa upravljačkim računalom sa kojim komunicira preko ROS-a, šalje tom računalu podatke sa kamere i senzora na robotu, a preko upravljačkog računala primamo input sa joystick-a i upravljamo robotom. Nadalje, implementirana je Unity aplikacija upravljačkog centra u kojoj operator robota u aplikaciji virtualne stvarnosti ima upravljački centar u kojem mu se prikazuje video stream sa kamere robota, te dubina na kojoj je robot i njegova orijentacija u prostoru.

    This thesis focuses on the development of a web application for data visualization in the context of a smart home. The purpose of the application is to provide users with insights into sensor data and enable them to control devices connected to the Home Assistant platform, which is used for home automation. The thesis is structured into three parts. The first part provides an introduction to the concept of a smart home and the Internet of Things (IoT). The second part focuses on the Home Assistant platform and the React JavaScript library, which will be used in the implementation of the application. The third part describes the implementation of the web application using React, provides a detailed explanation of the architecture and features of the application, and emphasizes the importance of leveraging cutting-edge technologies in the IoT domain. Through a realworld case study, the proposed solution is tested and its practical application in the context of a smart home is demonstrated. Ovaj završni rad fokusira se na izradu web aplikacije za prikaz podataka u okružju pametnog doma. Svrha aplikacije je omogućiti korisnicima uvid u senzorske podatke i upravljanje uređajima spojenim na Home Assistant platformu, koja se koristi za automatizaciju doma. Rad je organiziran u tri dijela. U prvom dijelu pružen je uvod u koncept pametnog doma i Internet stvari (IoT). Drugi dio rada fokusira se na Home Assistant platformu i React JavaScript biblioteku koje će se koristiti u izradi aplikacije. Treći dio opisuje implementaciju web aplikacije koristeći React, detaljno opisuje arhitekturu i funkcionalnosti aplikacije te naglašava važnost primjene najnovijih tehnologija u području IoT-a. Kroz stvarni studijski slučaj, predloženo rješenje je testirano i prikazana je njegova praktična primjena u kontekstu pametnog doma.

    Ovaj završni rad opisuje implementaciju prototipa sustava Interneta stvari (IoT) za inteligentno upravljanje u povrtlarstvu. U tu svrhu razvijen je prototip ugradbenih modula s razvojnom pločicom ESP32, klijentska i poslužiteljska softverska komponenta korištenjem programskog okvira Laravel i baze podataka MySQL. Za ugradbene module IoT (čvorove) korišteni su senzori čija je svrha praćenje bitnih parametara u uzgoju kao što su temperatura i vlažnost zraka, osvjetljenje, pH-vrijednost tla i vlažnost tla. Senzorski čvorovi prikupljaju podatke koji se prosljeđuju upravljačkom čvoru nakon čega ih upravljački čvor šalje na poslužitelj. Korisnik podacima pristupa putem web-aplikacije. Komunikacija između čvorova ostvarena je tehnologijom LoRa. This work describes the implementation of a prototype Internet of Things (IoT) system for smart management in vegetable farming. For this purpose, a prototype of embedded modules with the ESP32 development board was developed, along with client and server software components using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The IoT embedded modules (nodes) utilize sensors to monitor essential parameters in cultivation, such as air temperature and humidity, illumination, soil pH value, and soil moisture. The sensor nodes collect data, which is then transmitted to the control node, and subsequently sent to the server. Users access the data through a web application. Communication between the nodes is established using LoRa technology.

    Danas uređaji s Interneta stvari stvaraju jako velike količine podataka vremenskih serija koji se mijenjaju tijekom vremena, a Apache IoTDB baza podataka može jako efikasno pohraniti i analizirati te podatke. Zbog toga je u ovom završnom radu istražena i opisana baza podataka Apache IoTDB, koja je namijenjena za pohranu i upravljanje vremenskih serija podataka s Interneta stvari. Nakon toga je odabran studijski slučaj stvarnih podataka s Interneta stvari na kojem se evaluira ova baza podataka i u Javi je napravljeno programsko rješenje koje koristi ovu bazu podataka za pohranu, postavljanje upita i obradu podataka s Interneta stvara. Today, Internet of Things devices generate large volumes of time-series data that change over time, and the Apache IoTDB database can efficiently store and analyze this data. Therefore, this thesis explores and describes Apache IoTDB, a database specifically designed for storing and managing time-series data from the Internet of Things. After that, a real-world case study of Internet of Things data is selected to evaluate this database, and a Java program solution is developed that uses the database for storage, querying, and processing of Internet of Things data.

    This project focuses on the development of a smart agricultural irrigation system using an IoT-module with a development system based on an ESP32 microcontroller. IoT-module or so-called the sensor node integrates a sensor for measuring temperature and air humidity DHT11, a soil humidity sensor, a pH sensor and an LED lamp. A sensor node collects data from sensors and sends it to a server that executes a database and web application for real-time monitoring and control. The project successfully demonstrates the implementation of a smart irrigation system, enabling efficient use of water and improving crop yields. The integration of various sensors enables precise monitoring of soil and environmental conditions, providing farmers with the necessary information to optimize irrigation and improve productivity. Ovaj rad fokusira se na razvoj pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje u poljoprivredi pomoću IoT-modula s razvojnim sustavom koji je zasnovan na mikrokontroleru ESP32. IoT-modul ili tzv. senzorski čvor integrira senzor za mjerenje temperature i vlažnosti zraka DHT11 , senzor vlažnosti tla, pH-senzor i LED-lampicu. Senzorski čvor prikuplja podatke s senzora i šalje ih na poslužitelj koji izvršava bazu podataka i web-aplikaciju za praćenje i kontrolu u stvarnom vremenu. Projekt uspješno demonstrira implementaciju pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje, omogućujući učinkovito korištenje vode i poboljšanje prinosa usjeva. Integracija različitih senzora omogućuje precizno praćenje uvjeta tla i okoline, pružajući poljoprivrednicima potrebne informacije za optimizaciju navodnjavanja i poboljšanje produktivnosti.

    TinyML is a new and growing way of applying machine learning. TinyML is a combination of embedded devices with machine learning and the main advantages are: decentralization, faster data processing, enhanced privacy and relieving the servers. In the theoretical part of this thesis are described most popular embedded devices which support TinyML and the most popular frameworks. In the practical part, a model of machine learning is trained for two devices which represent wands used for aircraft marshalling signals and different signals are detected based on acceleration. For hardware, two FiPy development modules were used and two Pysense 2.0x sensor shields. TinyML je novi i rastući način primjene strojnog učenja koji kombinira ugradbene uređaje s modelima strojnog učenja. Prednosti su: decentralizacija, brža obrada podataka, privatnost, rasterećenje središnjeg sustava. U teoretskom dijelu ovoga rada obrađeni su najpopularniji ugradbeni uređaji koji podržavaju TinyML kao i najpopularniji razvojni okviri. U praktičnome dijelu zadatka je razvijen model strojnog učenje za dva uređaja koja emuliraju palice korištene za signaliziranje za parking zrakoplova te na temelju akceleracije detektiraju o kojem signalu se radi. Korišteni uređaji su dva FiPy modula i dvije Pysense 2.0x senzorske pločice.

    U završnom radu istražuje se razvoj Android aplikacije za praćenje vožnji temeljene na OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) sustavu. Rad se fokusira na implementaciju funkcionalnosti poput povezivanja s ELM327 uređajem putem Bluetooth veze, prikupljanja podataka korištenjem REST API-ja, prikaza statusa i očitanih podataka tijekom vožnje te spremanja i slanja vožnji na lokalnu ili udaljenu pohranu. Aplikacija omogućuje korisnicima prikupljanje raznih podataka o svojim vožnjama, uključujući brzinu, okretaje motora, opterećenje motora i druge relevantne informacije. Ti se podaci šalju posredniku koristeći protokol MQTT radi daljnje obrade i analize. Rezultat rada je intuitivna aplikacija koja korisnicima omogućuje prikupljanje korisnih informacija o vožnji, što ima potencijalnu primjenu u različitim analitičkim scenarijima. The final thesis explores the development of an Android application for tracking OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) based vehicle journeys. The focus is on implementing functionalities such as connecting to the ELM327 device via Bluetooth, collecting data through a REST API, displaying real-time status and readings during the journey, and storing/sending the recorded trips to local or remote storage. The application enables users to gather various data about their journeys, including speed, engine RPM, engine load, and other relevant information. These data are transmitted to a broker using the MQTT protocol for further processing and analysis. The result is an intuitive application that allows users to gather valuable journey information, with potential applications in various analytical scenarios.

    Exploring the field of robotics and mastering its intricacies has become a popular endeavor. Robotics hardware is often too expensive for individuals, so in this thesis a robotic simulator was developed for educational purposes. The system architecture was designed. A graphic system for interactive visual representation of the simulation has been implemented. The physics simulation necessary for a credible simulation of robotic systems is also integrated. In addition, numerous support systems have been integrated and implemented such as entities, components and systems, resource management system, job system... Istraživanje područja robotike i svladavanje njezinih zamršenosti postao je popularan pothvat. Sklopovlje robota nerijetko je preskup za individualne osobe pa je u ovom radu razvijen robotički simulator za edukacijske svrhe. Dizajnirana je arhitektura sustava. Implementirani su grafički sustav za interaktivan vizualna prikaz simulacije. Integrirana je i simulacija fizike neophodna za vjerodostojnu simulaciju robotskih sustava. Uz to integrirani i implementirani su brojni potporni sustavi poput entiteta, komponenti i sustava, upravljanja resursima, sustava poslova...
