    Local journalism is a privileged vantage point for observing the tension between territory and web in defining collective spatiality. While in past a ""concentric"" proximity model prevailed, digital transformation disrupts it, initiating an ongoing differentiated reorganization. This contribution aims to integrate the international debate about the topic, expanding the analysis to Southern Europe, in particular, the Italian region of Puglia. What are the specific characteristics of post-digital proximity in this context? We chose to seek answers to these research question in the discourse of industry professionals, able to report attitudes, ideological patterns, and habits that emerged in newsrooms in response to the stimuli of change. The discussion of the evidence from textual data shows how the imperative of rebuilding hybrid proximity is prompting local journalism in Puglia to abandon particularly rigid rituals to fulfil its civic assignment outside the imitation of national models, beyond the re-proposal of sector-specific languages, and even beyond the organizational space of newsrooms.

    The goal of this video is to highlight the risk factors of E. coli pathogenic strains transmission such as VTEC to humans, providing the consumers with the knowledge and skills to prevent VTEC infections, particularly focusing it on food safety. Escherichia coli pathogenic strains called Verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli or Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (VTEC/STEC) are a significant food-borne public health hazard in Europe. In fact, VTEC was the fourth most commonly reported zoonosis in the EU in 2017, with 6073 confirmed human cases. VTEC infections have been associated with a wide range of symptoms from uncomplicated diarrhea to hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS). HUS is a serious disease that affect children, the elderly and immunosuppressed individuals. The most of the human infections are linked to 5 serogroups, called top five (O157, O26, O103, O145, and O111). In recent years in Apulia region (Southern Italy), there has been an increase of the number of VTEC infections and in 2013 the largest European epidemic outbreak caused by E. coli O26 exploded (Germinario et al., 2016); in 2016 and 2018 there were also 3 deaths affecting pediatric patients. In all cases the source of infection has never been identified. The Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Puglia e della Basilicata with funding from the Italian Ministry of Health has conducted numerous research projects on VTEC both for the development of new diagnostic protocols and for epidemiological investigations in order to assess the risk in the various food and environmental matrices (RC IZSPB 02/13, RC IZSPB 03/16, RC IZSPB 02/17). VTEC monitoring and surveillance programs are necessary for risk assessment purposes and to prevent and reduce the transmission of VTEC to consumers. All operators of food sector must work in an integrated way and food control systems must be applied at all stages of the food chain to ensure food safety. {"references": ["Rocketium Platform for video making, https://rocketium.com/", "Nobili G. et al., 2017.   • Authors: Canale, Pietro Simone;

    Il saggio espone i contenuti di due rappresentanze del consultore del governo del Regno di Sicilia, Giacinto Dragonetti, inviate negli anni Novanta del Settecento al Consiglio delle Finanze a Napoli per riferire sullo stato delle dogane siciliane e sul lavoro della Giunta delle Dogane di Palermo. I due documenti esprimono il sostegno del consultore alla riforma del sistema doganale e mostrano la situazione economica della Sicilia in un momento di grande trasformazione economica. Dalle relazioni emerge l'orientamento economico e politico di Dragonetti, il quale sottolinea le criticità dell'isola e la mancanza di un intervento del governo. Nei documenti sono descritti lo stato dell'agricoltura, il grado di sviluppo delle arti e del commercio, sono prese in esame le principali voci di produzione, di importazione e di esportazione per l'anno 1795-1796. Alle due relazioni sono allegati dei rapporti sul commercio, sugli introiti delle dogane marittime siciliane e sulle provvigioni degli ufficiali di secrezia. The paper discusses the contents of two letters sent by the Kingdom of Sicily's secretary of the state - who in italian is called "consultore del governo" - Giacinto Dragonetti, to the Naples' Council of Finance, during the 1790s. These letters were meant to report on the Sicilian customs' conditions and the programme of reform advocated by the so-called Giunta delle Dogane, an institution created by the government in Palermo in the year 1786. The two documents record the secretary of state's support for the above-mentioned programme of reform and reconstruct Sicily's economic situation. Dragonetti examines the state of agriculture and the development of the arts and commerce, taking into consideration the main agricultural and manufacturing production, import and export in the years 1795-1796. The two reports are attached relations on trade, on the proceeds of Sicilian maritime customs and commissions of Secrezia officers, unpublished documents on the late eighteenth-century Sicily.

    Il sambuco è una pianta legnosa che si trova in quasi tutta Europa, è presente in luoghi freschi e ai bordi di foreste per lo più decidue, con suoli umidi e ricchi indipendentemente dalla loro natura chimica. Il potenziale mercato dei prodotti di sambuco lo rende attraente per gli agricoltori di tutta Europa ed essendo possibile la consociazione con il bestiame in sistemi silvopastorali, la sua coltivazione potrebbe essere una buona soluzione per aumentare la redditività aziendale.

    Introductory video in Italian about H2020 Diverfarming project. We show here the benefits of diversified cropping systems and why Europe needs crop diversification. With the long-term view of increasing diversification and biodiversity in Europe and fostering sustainable development of bioeconomy, the Diverfarming consortium come together to develop and deploy innovative farming and agribusiness strategies. Diverfarming will increase the long-term resilience, sustainability and economic revenues of agriculture across the EU by assessing the real benefits and minimising the limitations, barriers and drawbacks of diversified cropping systems under low-input agronomic practices that are tailor-made to fit the unique characteristics of six EU pedoclimatic regions (Mediterranean south and north, Atlantic central, Continental, Pannonian and Boreal), and by adapting and optimising the downstream value chains organization. This approach will provide: i) increased overall land productivity; ii) more rational use of farm land and farming inputs (water, energy, machinery, fertilisers, pesticides); ii) improved delivery of ecosystem services by increments in biodiversity and soil quality; iii) proper organization of downstream value chains adapted to the new diversified cropping systems with decreased use of energy; and iv) access to new markets and reduced economy risks by adoption of new products in time and space. The diversified cropping systems will be tested in field case studies for major crops within each pedoclimatic region. In the end, Diverfarming focuses on research and innovation for rural development, with emphasis on developing new framework systems and business models adapted to the rural context of each pedoclimatic area of the EU, to foster sustainable growth through adoption of diversification, sustainable practices and efficient use of resources.

    The goal of this video is to highlight the risk factors of E. coli pathogenic strains transmission such as VTEC to humans, providing the consumers with the knowledge and skills to prevent VTEC infections, particularly focusing it on food safety. Escherichia coli pathogenic strains called Verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli or Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (VTEC/STEC) are a significant food-borne public health hazard in Europe. In fact, VTEC was the fourth most commonly reported zoonosis in the EU in 2017, with 6073 confirmed human cases. VTEC infections have been associated with a wide range of symptoms from uncomplicated diarrhea to hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS). HUS is a serious disease that affect children, the elderly and immunosuppressed individuals. The most of the human infections are linked to 5 serogroups, called top five (O157, O26, O103, O145, and O111). In recent years in Apulia region (Southern Italy), there has been an increase of the number of VTEC infections and in 2013 the largest European epidemic outbreak caused by E. coli O26 exploded (Germinario et al., 2016); in 2016 and 2018 there were also 3 deaths affecting pediatric patients. In all cases the source of infection has never been identified. The Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Puglia e della Basilicata with funding from the Italian Ministry of Health has conducted numerous research projects on VTEC both for the development of new diagnostic protocols and for epidemiological investigations in order to assess the risk in the various food and environmental matrices (RC IZSPB 02/13, RC IZSPB 03/16, RC IZSPB 02/17). VTEC monitoring and surveillance programs are necessary for risk assessment purposes and to prevent and reduce the transmission of VTEC to consumers. All operators of food sector must work in an integrated way and food control systems must be applied at all stages of the food chain to ensure food safety. {"references": ["Rocketium Platform for video making, https://rocketium.com/", "Nobili G. et al., 2017.   • Authors: Canale, Pietro Simone;
