    There is no doubt that oil is considered a strategic commodity for producing and exporting. It is been experienced that oil is an important means to achieve economic growth. The oil industries encounter conflicts such as widespread environmental issues, human displacement, and inadequate compensation for losses imposed in the oil-producing communities, and inadequate community level involvement. These are leading to alienation between states and the indigenous population. The aim of the current research is to investigate the impacts of oil field development for rural areas, having Taq-Taq Oil Field in Kurdistan Region Iraq (KRG) as a case study. The research project was conducted in the form of a survey study. The population of the study included the rural residents in six villages around the field. The necessary data for this research was collected squarely 48 samples. Rural residents in the study area were taken using a random sampling method. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by Cronbach alpha coefficient for different sections. After conducting a pilot study for each structure respectively calculated: economic infrastructural, social, cultural, and environmental factors. The results of factor analysis showed that the negative and positive impacts of oil industry development occurred in the rural area. In this case study, a variance of %64 explained for entire factors included: infrastructural, social, cultural, economic, and environmental.

    AbstractTelehealth psychological services is a time‐efficient and cost‐effective therapy solution for persons in rural areas. The high congestion resulting from these infrastructure issues, which includes low‐bandwidth wireless connections and channels prone to data loss, tends to increase video delays, thereby making real‐time video transmission during telehealth psychological services challenging. The purpose of this study is, hence, to enable the successful implementation of telehealth psychological services in rural areas by minimising end‐to‐end video transmission delay and improving bandwidth efficiency. Our proposed system uses a distortion‐aware TCP‐friendly adaptive congestion control algorithm that adapts the congestion window size according to path characteristics and quality. Indeed, evaluation results show that our algorithm—as compared to a reference—significantly improves peak signal‐to‐noise ratio and end‐to‐end delay; thus, suggesting that the adoption of an adaptive congestion window size in our system can improve network bandwidth efficiency and reduce information delay resulting from packet queuing and unnecessary packet loss. The outcome is successful high‐definition video transmission during telehealth psychological services.

    Fallujah is an Iraqi city located on the left bank of the Euphrates River, 60 kilometers west of Baghdad. This research deals with the study of reality of the population and society of the city in 1947 based on an official document (General Census of 1947).This document is the most important source through which we can draw a close picture of the reality of Fallujah society at that time which is characterized by neutrality because it is issued by an official institution. This documentary study included the people of Fallujah in different respects, population, age, gender, housing in the countryside or urban, nature of housing,social conditions, the most important health impairments in this society, their religion and sects, nationalities, movement of these people from other governorates, their professions and their crafts, the most important business and economic functions prevailing then, health and cultural situations, depending on the number of institutions in the city at the time and the number of employees. The research is enhanced by graphs and tables that facilitate the purpose for which the research was written. Abstract Groundwater quality has specific importance for domestic, agricultural, and drinking water supply. Therefore, the objective of the current paper is to investigate groundwater quality for drinking and irrigation purposes, as well as studying health hazard effects of nitrate-containing groundwater on age groups living in rural areas. Two water quality indices were used for checking groundwater suitability for drinking and irrigation purposes. For drinking water quality index (DWQI), 88% of groundwater wells were poor water, whereas 12% were good water for drinking. The values of irrigation water quality index (IWQI) showed that the suitability of groundwater for irrigation uses was ranged from high to medium. In addition, this paper also included a risk assessment of nitrate-containing groundwater on rural resident's health. calculating oral hazard quotient (HQoral) for nitrates showed that 94% of the groundwater wells of the study area were less than 1, indicating no adverse health hazards on infants and children, whereas 6% of total wells were above 1, suggesting there are health risks. Regarding health effects on adults, all HQoral values were less than 1, indicating no adverse health hazards. The Hazard Quotient via dermal contact (HQdermal) for nitrates was much less than the safety factor 1, indicating no health hazards on age groups via bathing.

    Human activates especially farmers can have impacts on the environment via using chemical substances, these effects can be directly on human or indirectly through food, wildlife, climate, crops, or livestock. Chemical substance which are created to introduce into delicately balanced ecosystems, they could have led to damage in motion that reverberates via the food for years. Nevertheless, it wreaks havoc, biodiversity and the natural system that human survival depends on. The aim of this study is to evaluate farmer’s behavior in using pesticides and fertilizers to prevent the environment pollution and the harm to the human beings. Primary data was used to achieve the objective which using a semi-structure questionnaire, that administered in a random sampling technique, face to face administration. The total number of farmers in the sample was 200 farmers in 31 villages. The analysis is conducted with SPSS and Excel Spreadsheets. The results illustrated that great number of farmers in rural area of Sulaimani uses chemical pesticides and fertilizers in huge amounts, they still with the adage, “if little is good, a lot more will be better”. In addition, the great number of farmers don’t follow the product’s labels, or believe that these chemical substances impact on the environment, or adopt new techniques in applying chemical substances. So, farmers require knowledge and informations to understand the negative influences of these chemical substances on the biotic and abiotic components of the environment to use organic fertilizers and pesticides instead of toxic chemicals with the recommended standard levels.

    Government of Mongolia has developed “National Development Strategy of Mongolia” and “Regional Development Policy of Mongolia” and it was focused on promoting fast development of tourism as one of the leading sectors of the economy. Furthermore, increase in responsibility of state and local authorities for business sector is paying more attention to further development of regional tour-recreation. Given that the tour-recreation recourses in rural area are ought to be determined specifically as well as the determined recourses are required to be utilized in efficient way, it is envisaged that gradually increases are important for involving the Camp of cooperating Herding Households (CCHH) to be participated in local tour-recreation activities. Accordingly, demands are raised to identify the factors and influences on developing the Tour-recreation activities in CCHH.Our objective of this research work is to conduct the full assessment and regionalize the tour-recreational capacity of Uvs province.Journal of agricultural sciences №15 (02): 130-133, 2015

    With a population of 3.1 million, Mongolia is situated on a rolling plateau in central eastern Asia, with mountains to the west and north and plains to the south and east. Mongolia has undergone significant social, political and economic transformations during the past century, one outcome of which has been the progressive sedentarisation of many of its nomadic pastoral herders. Internal migration data have been collected using decennial censuses, with questions focussing on lifetime migration, place of residence five years ago and duration of residence. A system of civil registration also collects annual internal migration data. Census data suggest that Mongolia is currently experiencing a period of high migration intensity and, coupled with high efficiency, this has had a significant spatial impact, with flows focussed on the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. In the past two decades, both the intensity and effectiveness of migration have been volatile. This is partly a response to the transformation of the Mongolian economy from a collectivised to an open market system, as well as a significant mining boom. Environmental factors and government policy are also impacting internal migration. Severe winters (dzuds) are triggering out-migration from rural areas to Ulaanbaatar, while policies restricting registration of new migrants in the capital are seeking to stem internal migration flows. Internal migration is exacerbating regional inequalities and leading to significant expansion of the low-density peri-urban districts (ger) on the periphery of Ulaanbaatar. This presents pressing policy challenges for authorities.

    Indigenous chicken livestock micro -farming is a source of food and livelihood for poor household living in rural areas across the globe. Indigenous chicken micro -farming has a potential to be social sustainable business due to ability to perform well under triple bottom line parameter. Despite the potential to be a social sustainable business, indigenous chicken micro - farming is underdeveloped and unable to generate stable income for rural poor. Therefore, this study aims to identify key actors in indigenous chicken production and the role of each actor in the supply chain. The study further analyzes the value chain of indigenous chicken to categorize constraints experienced by each actor in the rural poultry. Integrative Literature Review (ILR) method is used to analyze the value chain of indigenous poultry to identify constraints. The results of analyses have shown that indigenous chicken industry lack well established optimal supply chain and there is a need to integrate all actors and channels involved in indigenous chicken business.

    Authors: Solongo Algaa;
