This paper discusses the main anti-crisis measures for agricultural regulation applied to large agricultural producers of strategic importance and supporting medium-sized agricultural producers.

AbstractEarly life experience may influence an executive's psychology and behaviour, which affects the company's financial policy. Using a unique early life political event, this paper finds that the ‘Down to the Countryside’ experience of board chairs in China increases their risk aversion and reduces the firms’ innovation investments. Such an effect is robust to a series of alternative tests. Further analysis shows that this impact is not weakened by chairs’ higher education, and their increased risk aversion results in the chairs being more prudent and making more efficient investment decisions.

The climate is changing very fast today, and this is not natural. We are experiencing the impact of climate change in many aspects. It is also expected to impact the performance of buildings badly in due course of time. In recent years, many countries started investing to evaluate the energy performances of the buildings and opting for the best suited energy-saving measures. However, this concept may be new in the context of Bhutan. However, the author expects that this new concept may revolutionize the building construction sectors in Bhutan. Many studies show that buildings are one of the world’s largest consumers of energy, and on the other hand, strategies are available to reduce energy consumption. The strategies can be applied right from the design phases for the new buildings and retrofits for the old buildings. In order to apply the best strategies of energy consumption reduction and to understand building energy consumption patterns, an evaluation of the building’s energy performance needs to be carried out.

Abstract A preliminary study showed that most health workers in primary health care (PHC) claimed that they need a refreshing course because of their lack of updated knowledge and skill. This study enrolled 27 primary healthcare workers recruited from the PHC. The intervention used were classic lectures and workshops. The knowledge was evaluated using a paper-based test and practice, while the skill was evaluated using a practice test. Multiple questions (pre-test and post-test) based on current emergency management for pediatric were used for paper-based evaluation. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to confirm the subject's perspective on the intervention. A paired t-test was used for evaluating the pre- and post-test results, which was confirmed by a triangulation approach. There was a significant difference between the pre- and post-test results (p<0.001), and 8 of 10 subjects can demonstrate the procedure learned correctly after the intervention. A total of 14 interviewed subjects stated great effectiveness of the intervention, with several limitations on applicability in daily clinical practice. Classic lecture and workshop as an intervention in health education effectively increase health workers' knowledge and skill in PHC. This study might help other rural areas PHC apply the same method so the professionalism and quality of health workers in PHC providers can be maintained.Keywords : primary health care, classic lecture; workshop; knowledge; skillCorrespondence : rickyindraalfaray@gmail.com

BackgroundIn Mongolia, where there is a large regional gap in the quality of healthcare services, metabolic syndrome (MetS) is steadily increasing. However, there are few studies on the risk level of MetS and affecting factors among adults living in rural Mongolia. This study aims to explore the relationship between socio-demographics, clinical characteristics, emotional state, and social support on the risk level of MetS prevalence among adults living in rural Mongolia.MethodsIn this cross-sectional study, 143 adults living in the soum area of Dondgovi aimag in Mongolia were recruited. Data collection was conducted from July 2 to 3, 2019. The self-reported questionnaires including socio-demographic, clinical characteristics and emotional status, anthropometric tests using the InBody, and blood sampling tests were conducted. The number of individual diagnostic criteria met was scored as a MetS risk score and classified into 6 groups, from the lowest score of 0 to the highest score of 5. The ordinal logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors affecting the risk of MetS.ResultsThe prevalence of MetS among adults living in rural Mongolia was 58.0%, and the mean MetS risk score was 2.70±1.34 points. In the ordinal logistic regression analysis, age, regular exercise of moderate intensity or higher, InBody score reflecting obesity or sarcopenia, and depression level were statistically significantly associated with the risk score for MetS.ConclusionsOur study demonstrated that MetS risk levels among adults living in rural Mongolia with limited medical resources were strongly associated with demographic characteristics, body composition and emotional health condition, particularly depression.
